Yes we were early, It was almost 12:30pm and our room was not ready, neither was the room for the people before us. Well, no problem, we needed to have a hearty lunch before our evenings work and we did have a delicious one in the Brasserie of the hotel. At 2pm we went to get our room. The other... More

Stayed for a one night business trip at Karel V. I expected a lot from a Grand Hotel. Was quite disappointed from the room (no 221). Corridors look a bit like in a city hospital. Room medium size - bathroom old and overall not well maintained. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Overall, I was not very impressed

it is excelent experience to be there. I manage 4x and always looking for next stay. the premises are old, in a good shape with smiling people around. this is not a hip hotel but with character. my room was huge /no. 105/, on the basement, no disturbing from out or in. the hotel is cca 9 min walk from... The hotel is good, use back entrance and you are in the old town. I generally had a very good stay, the braserie restaurant made a very tasty meal for me for dinner. When checking out I had no issues - thinking it was all here; quick efficient check in, nice room, good sleep, efficient (not ultra fast) wireless -... More

I stayed here in July for business and it was very nice. It is a short walk (5 mins) to the train station and 5 mins to the restaurants around the canal area. The staff were very friendly. In fact, I was unable to get local currency at the bank or ATM and they were able to credit an amount... More

Stayed here as a couple on a stopover for just one night. We hadn't planned to visit Utrecht but the very expensive accommodation in Amsterdam that weekend forced us to change our plans. So pleased we did! Utrecht is a great place and only half an hour or so from Schipol Airport. Highly recommended as it has much that Amsterdam... More

Our hotel room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The staff is very pleasant and professional. It is centrally located, you can walk to many restaurants and to the train station. The only con is the front desk is not knowledgeable about good restaurants in the area and the food at the Hotel is not consistent. Our first dinner was nice... More

Due to work reasons I had to spent almost 6 months in the hotel and I only have good things to say. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was quiet, relaxing and the rooms were big (which is very important when it becomes your second home). To me it is by far the best hotel in Utrecht.

Great stay in this very nice hotel, old building that has been updated with style. Standard bedroom felt anything but standard, food excellent, service helpful, surroundings beautiful. Utrecht is wonderful and the hotel is in the heart. Don't bother with the front (major rebuilding roadworks in progress) instead have a drink in the rear courtyard before wondering out into the... With its easy access and parking, this hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway by car. The impressive park is a true oasis in the middle of the city, which you can access through the back entrance in a minute's walk--literally! Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room we had was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated to match the... More
