Once you leave wonderful Amsterdam, you also leave crowds of tourists. Utrecht is a lovely town, and a train hub. May K was an excellent choice in Utrecht. It is a bit of a walk from the train station. But the hotel is nice, breakfast is excellent, and the hotel staff went out of their way to ensure that we... More

Like going back in time because 1. I lived on the Oudegracht 14 yrs ago and 2. Utrecht is a ancient city! Utrecht was the northernmost Roman garrison so that starts its historical significance. The Oudegracht is the oldest canal and our room overlooked it. The hotel is small and quaint with a friendly staff and very nice, spacious accommodations.... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Mary K Hotel. We stayed on the ground floor in the "greenhouse" room. We requested for a ground floor room as we had big luggages and they accommodated to that. The room is spacious, the toilet is clean and the location is great. It was about 10mins walk from the train station but it... More

This is a quaint hotel that is run by the owners. It operates somewhat like a B&B. It is well located near the center of Utrecht, yet it's on a quiet street. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. The hosts are warm, friendly and very accommodating. They helped us select a nice restaurant and gave us useful advice on... More

This hotel is a perfect representation of the city of Utrecht: charming, clean, personal, friendly and relaxing! It's the first time we've stayed in a 'boutique' hotel and I have to say it didn't disappoint. Being just a tad over 50 I thought it may be a bit too 'hip & trendy' for the more mature traveller but it didn't... More

This quaint hotel is like a home away from home! Friendly people, great service, unique decor, and delicious home-cooked breakfasts. It has a tremendous amount of character, style, and a real coziness about it. It's obvious the staff puts a tremendous amount of care into the property and taking care of their guests. Absolutely loved my stay here!

If only all hotels were like this, my life on the road would be so much nicer. I have been here 3 nights now, and still have one to go, but I cannot hold back any longer for sharing just how lovely this hotel is. When I arrived, very late Sunday evening, the reception was still open for me, and... More

I loved finding a place that has character, is comfortable, provides great food and does it all with an ethos of sustainability. When you travel lots and stay in rather impersonal hotels, somewhere that cares for the customer but also cares for the destination is a rare treat.

definitely not the most expensive hotel in Utrecht but by far my favorit. Not posh, but still comfortable, not luxurious but still refined. Not a servant on every corner but still the right things on the right place and thoughtful little details. I loved it and it's well lovated and quiet (although Utrecht has some bells working overnight!)
