It's a good quality boutique-style hotel with friendly staff and some cosy and charming features including posh toiletries. The problem is it's just a hotel but they make you feel like it's something rather precious: the sitting down in the office, filling of a form, both our ID's required, 2-3 explanations for the 'breakfast procedure' (yes she used the word... Because we were scheduled to stay at Amersfoort for two weeks, I booked one of their apartments. Tip number one: do not stay at their apartments. After carting our luggage up a steep flight of stairs (no elevators) we entered into an "Ikea" apartment. The nice person who showed us the unit apologized that there were no curtains on the... The overall feel of the hotel is very friendly and clean. Our room was quite small and was located street side. The street noise was only mildly disturbing however. Breakfast was very good and the garden is terrific, a real oasis in the middle of the city. Sipping coffee in the garden after dinner proved a perfect end to our... More

Very nice hotel with nicely furnished rooms. In a old home so some of the rooms are bigger than others, but very nice overall. Great breakfast in the morning. Staff was very nice and helpful. Near great restaurants and shops all within 3-4 blocks. Town is very nice. Would definitely stay her again.

Such a great, intimate family-run hotel! Not far from the center of Amersfoort (a short walk really), and even though we were only passing through for one night (we had a marathon race to run in town at the time) we were treated as if we were relatives, not just another customer. Forget the big hotels - choose here for... More

The positives, well situated near the center of Amersfoort and a parking nearby. The hotel is not very clean, the room we had quite dirty and the wifi did jot work well. The breakfast was very mediocre. All in all, far too expensive for the quality of the room and service. This was the first- and the last time we... More

I booked a comfort room in De Tabaksplant for a 3-days business trip and I left the hotel with very good impressions. The staff was very friendly, the place was nice. The location is excellent, literally 7 minutes on foot from the very center of the old medieval town of Amersfoort, 5 minutes walk to the nearest bus-stop and 20... More

The night before we departed from Schiphol, we wanted a hotel in a beautiful Dutch medieval town (of which there are many). Coming from the north, we choose Amersfoort as it appeared top be the best combination of architecture, history, and good restaurants. We had an enjoyable walk (although it was getting dark, and a great meal (Blok’s, another review).... More
