As we cycled up to this hotel, our first thought was why were we so far from the central area of Giethoorn. Quickly, we figured out why. The owners were gracious and nice. The room was quiet. We rented a boat from the hotel and explored the canals. While the village of Giethoorn is beautiful, we were glad we were... More

We stayed here as part of an self guided biking trip, accomodation was booked by our ( fantastic) cycling operator ,Tulip Cycling. We would have never found this place otherwise ( which is exactly why you should go with a locally based company like this one) What a great place. As we cycled into Giethoorn to the famed canals, I... More

Much better than De Dames hotel.. the restaurant is really good and hotel owner is very caring and ready to modify the food to suit your taste, the hotel rooms are generally small so go for highest category. The husband of hotel owner took us out for a boat ride on unusual routes in the night which was really good

Giethoorn has seen a lot of tourists and hotels here are quite full because there is a lack of them. The hotel itself is next to its namesake bus stop, which makes it convenient for those who rely on public transport to and fro the village and hotel (the hourly bus 70). My family and I stayed one night at... More

Spent two nights in this fabulous village of Giethoorn. It is like you are living in another world, absolutely free of pollution. The hotel was well located, with bus stop just steps from the hotel lobby. Bus number 70 which depart from Steenwijk train station will stop outside the hotel and this is the bonus because all bus drivers know... More

We have been at the Harmonie during our Family Vacation. The rooms were not very modern, but nice and clean - which is the most important. And the owner is unique and very friendly! After a warm welcome, we rented a boat - at the Hotel. A so called Fluijsterboot - and we made a 3 hour - tour arround... More

Arrived at this hotel on the 3rd day of our cycle trip. We were soaking wet! We were met at the door by a concerned and friendly lady who directed us to the drying room. She offered to dry all our wet clothing (no charge). The gesture was greatly appreciated. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. No tea... More

Excellently cared for and spoilt by the friendly service - gentleman: very thoughtful with suitable jokes and nice coffee/tea with gateaux - this definitely contributed to a lovely family-reunion. Thanks very much! The trip with the 'whisper -boats' from this location was worthwhile too- we'd like to repeat this when we get the opportunity!

My 16 year old daughter and I spent 2 nights in hotel Harmonie. The hotel is located in the beautiful Giethoorn village, and is an excellent starting point for touring the village and the surroundings. We took a deck room. The room was specious, clean and comfortable with a view of the canal.I also liked our bed, which was a... More
