This smallish family-run hotel has a four-star rating. I would not call that undeserved but don't expect a host of facilities as you might find in a large international chain-hotel. Rooms are fine but not overly luxurious, the open-plan bar/lounge/restaurant is quite cozy and comfortable, the food good, service friendly rather than impersonally slick. We had booked half-board (the only... More

In a great location to access the beautiful village of Giethoorn - it's possible to walk from the hotel or hire one of their boats to get to the village centre and is away from the busy tourist bits in a tranquil setting. The hotel is clean, has everything you need but could maybe do with some modernisation as it... More

Hotel De Harmonie is a great place, that located at beautiful Giethoorn with all the canals around you. The service of the staff is amazing and all of them are very kind. This city is very different from Amsterdam and the other big cities in Holland. Giethoorn is very quiet and not crowded like the big cities. I really recommend... More

What a pleasant little spot! Comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms with large soaking tub, terrace rooms that look over a pastoral canal. Quiet and tranquil, it's a short drive to the main village but you can also rent boats for canal excursions to see the countryside and village from the water, only 17 euro per hour. On request they will even... More

We stayed at the De Harmonie Hotel in Giethoorn in September. While we were sitting in the comfortable restaurant that is part of the hotel, it started raining. We watched as the owner/manager Jan, put bicycles into the shed to keep them dry. These were NOT the rental bicycles that the hotel has - these were guest's bicycles that he... More

Been here with my wife for a weekend. The hotel is locaded right in from of a bus station, so it's very easy to reach it even without a car. My stay was excelent, the staff is very polite and trully helpful. We rented a boat from the hotel, and the owner made my wife use his jacket, that's right,... More

As we cycled up to this hotel, our first thought was why were we so far from the central area of Giethoorn. Quickly, we figured out why. The owners were gracious and nice. The room was quiet. We rented a boat from the hotel and explored the canals. While the village of Giethoorn is beautiful, we were glad we were... More

We stayed here as part of an self guided biking trip, accomodation was booked by our ( fantastic) cycling operator ,Tulip Cycling. We would have never found this place otherwise ( which is exactly why you should go with a locally based company like this one) What a great place. As we cycled into Giethoorn to the famed canals, I... More

Much better than De Dames hotel.. the restaurant is really good and hotel owner is very caring and ready to modify the food to suit your taste, the hotel rooms are generally small so go for highest category. The husband of hotel owner took us out for a boat ride on unusual routes in the night which was really good

Giethoorn has seen a lot of tourists and hotels here are quite full because there is a lack of them. The hotel itself is next to its namesake bus stop, which makes it convenient for those who rely on public transport to and fro the village and hotel (the hourly bus 70). My family and I stayed one night at... More
