We spent New Years Eve 2014 at this hotel and we had great fun! We arrived in the afternoon for high tea. The buffet was various and very good! From gluewijn to various pastries and desserts. The evening was well-organized with live music, lots of dancing and fireworks at 12. The buffet dinner was amazing. Very good food and a... More

I consider some reviews in this website to be unfair. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and cattered for diverse taste. As regards the Brasserie, I ate premium beef black Angus, which was delicious and tender. The distinctive feature of this hotel is the theater inside the same building where I attended Jan Smit performace. Besides,... More

We (my wife and I) booked this hotel as a romantic-get-a-way for two days. We arrived after 4 PM and the receptionist saw in her computer that the room wasn't cleaned yet. This seemed odd as you have to leave the room before noon, so housekeeping had all time to clean up for us. After a 15-minute wait she informed... More

Stayed at the hotel for about 2 weeks for business. The wifi is somewhat unstable and while the room is big, the 'double bed' is actually 2 single beds put together. There's no coffee-making facilities and my room's heater don't work well. The same goes for my colleague's. The breakfast is boring and the opening hours of the breakfast is... More

Second time I've stayed here, both times for corporate events e.g. booked by my company. Overall it's a nice hotel with a good but quiet central location. Whilst the food was generally very good, I felt that breakfast was a weak point. For both stays I've had a very small shower cubicle with a barley-acceptable water flow rate. The mixer... More

This was my first trip abroad. I was on a business trip in Almelo for 5 days. Having reached Almelo which is a small town it was good to see this old fashioned hotel in the middle of the town. Its a 10-15min walk from the railway station. I stayed in a standard double room. The beds were too soft... More

My third (or maybe fourth) stay here. Large spacious rooms kept very clean. The decor is a bit dated but in a quaint way and certainly not shabby. Can't comment on the value as I never see the bill since the client I am visiting always picks it up.

We stayed there for one night, while with our motor touring club. The hotel is quite big and is integrated with a theatre. We did not use that facility, though. Décor is grand and somewhat luxurious, although it does not fully translate in the rooms themselves, i.e. in the quality if the beds and the amenities. The hotel is in... More

Review based on a one-night stay but we have stayed here frequently in the past. Don't bother with the parking garage, nip-round to P3 and park there. costs a bit but the hotel's garage is small, cramped and a dent/scratch just waiting to happen. Check-in smooth and efficient, room large, bathroom even larger. rain-shower more a drizzle shower, basic amenities... More

Stayed one night on business. Rooms were large and bright, bathrooms relatively modern. Beds very soft and unsupportive. Service was a bit surly but ok. Breakfast was good. I would stay again on next visit to Almelo.
