I stayed my last night at the Haarlem hotel suites( Lange Veer 2), having stayed my prior 2 nights at the next door Brasss Hotel(Diamonds of the sea and Rode Mul) After having 2 great nights at the Brasss suites, the Lange Veer 2 suite was a nightmare. The wifi in the room was not fit for purpose. Tried having... More

we stayed at the Lange Veer 1, which is a short walk from reception. The stairway to the room is not for the faint hearted. It is very steep, and unless you are young and fit, it is a struggle to get up the stairs with your luggage. Especially if you just got off a plane from Australia. The room... More

What a joy!!! We made Haarlem our base for our three days in the Amsterdam area, and decided to stay at the Hotel Suites. We had the Lange Veer II suite, which is on the top floor over an Indian restaurant. The room was spacious, comfortable and very quiet. The bathroom was modern with a tub and a separate shower.... We booked the Haarlem Hotel Suite COUNTESS, which is a short walk from the reception office. Located up one of those famously steep Dutch staircases, the suite is at the very top of the building that houses a ground floor restaurant and a unit immediately below that is also offered by Haarlem Hotelsuites. It's a lot of space for the... More

We were only in delightful Haarlem for one night, but this would be anyone's home away from home. Yes there is a reception - but once you have checked in, you are immediately led to a tucked away apartment nearby. Ours was De Gravin. It is on a slightly down-at-the-heels side street, but no matter. It was an enormous and... More

Beautiful fully equipped flat, excellent central location, would definitely recommend it over staying in a hotel in Amsterdam.

We could not be happier with our decision to drive into Haarlem, stay at Haarlem Hotelsuites, and visit Amsterdam via train. Million-mile-an-hour Martin, who runs this pastiche of accommodation and restaurants, could not do more to ensure satisfaction. He is deserving of complete praise. We're not talking grand accommodation here; just sensible, clean, intelligent value and service. The bonus is... More

We stayed at the Lange Veer II, which is 2 floors above a Vietnamese restuarant, up the steep stairs. This is more of an apartment than a hotel. The room quite large by Dutch standards, with a seperate living room with pullout couch and TV. There is room to sleep four. There is a small fridge and kettle. No stove,... More

My wife and I have made quite a few trips over to Amsterdam/Haarlem over the years and this was probably the best place we have stayed at. There are so many good things we can sat about staying here, but we don't want to because if they become too popular we might struggle to book again. So go stay somewherelse!... More

Even though the De Gravin apartment is in the city centre, it is tucked away up a small side street, so very quiet and calm. It's an absolute gem - spacious, pristinely clean and comfortable, with modern furnishings in a quirky building. There is everything you could want in the kitchen, and the bedrooms are most comfortable. It is warm... More
