I stayed here in November on a Sunday and Monday night. Had a wonderful view from my room over the market square which i didn't find too noisy. Really liked my room too. Small but clean bathroom. Had arranged for an earlier breakfast which they were happy to arrange. Great helpful owners. The stairs were very steep which would not... More

First of all, this is a B&B and not a luxury hotel. So why the rating "Excellent"? There's also ratings naming the steep steps. Well, if you're aware of the steep steps up to the rooms, and you also find the fridges where you can serve yourself tea or coffee, soft drinks or wine whenever you feel like it, and... More

I stayed here for two nights: Sunday and Monday. The stairs are very steep but my luggage was carried to the room for me. I would not recommend this for people with mobility difficulties or who are very elderly. Unless they are very fit. My room overlooked the market place which I loved and I had no problems with noise.... More

Our clean and spacious room overlooked Grote Markt which was such a fabulous location - just loved sitting by the window and watching the action go by. Indeed, there is noise from outdoor tables below and Saturday with the market set up and take down, but that is the absolute charm of this spot - put in your earplugs (provided... More

Having read TA reviews, we were aware that the very large front bedroom looked out over the square and hence could be noisy on market days (Sunday & Monday) and in mornings and evenings when they put up or take down the tables and chairs in the central square. Perhaps not for light sleepers but once you know what to... More

I Absolutely loved this place! As soon as we walked in the door of the restaurant we were greeted by the owner and his wife Ann, I think (I can't remember his name) and he made us feel so at home, like we were a part of his family. He took our luggage and fixed us some coffee and a... More

Good location and easy to locate. Stayed in room 4 (attic room) if you are tall this room is not for you! When getting out of bed you cannot stand up straight and I'm only 5'7", had to be very careful! First morning started out rough, no coffee or cappuccino, machine was down, no yogurt or granola offered. Second morning... More

We have been to Haarlem a few times, and this was the first time we stayed at the L'Anders. Absolutely loved it, next time we will not look any further, we will go back to this same place and ask for the same room, number 1. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, food was awesome, ambiance was perfect,... More

A small and quaint B&B that is on the main square. By small I mean there are only 4 rooms. Breakfast is in the bar/restaurant and was always plentiful. The owners and staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. The only drawback is there ins't a lift, just some very narrow stairs which is typical of 16th century Dutch... More

My son and I stayed here for three nights in early April. We found Haarlem to be a great place to visit and a great base for visiting other places including Keukenhoff, Amsterdam, and Alkmaar. The price was excellent and any negatives to this B&B could be quickly dismissed when we considered what we were paying. We were not able... More
