Was perfect in the middle of old Haarlem. They have another building with rooms around the corner, which are not good if you are a light sleeper and also had no elevator. Steep steps! Pub across the road was extremely noisy till 4 am each of the 4 days we were there.. Breakfast had a good assortment but no change... More

This hotel is located in the city center right across from the main square and cathedral. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. There was a significant amount of street noise, as our room directly faced the cathedral, but it died down by midnight or 1am. The room was clean with IKEA-type furnishings and average size... More

We were given 2 "garden rooms", the garden being a concrete courtyard with plastic flowers. Access was through a dark dingy corridor, which in the morning was taken up by water hoses and electric cables for construction to the property next to it. The entrance to this corridor was a red door around the corner from the main entrance, only... More

The first room we stayed in had not been cleaned. Pretty disgusting, lots of hairs on the carpet from the previous guest. The room was accessed by going out of the hotel and through a courtyard. The room size was good and this bathroom had a rainfall shower as advertised for a superior room. Unfortunately, not a good night sleep... More

Loved, loved the location, and seeing the same ikea chairs/tables I have in my kiddos rooms was fun. We had a wonderful experience-yes the bathrooms are different than in many modern U.S. Hotels, but big deal, don't carry everything in with you to bathe, and don't splash all over the place. Staff was friendly, lobby was cool, breakfast was good.... More

I just read some of the reviews and it's as if there are two hotels; my experience was good. We stayed here one night as part of Tulip Tours biking, so they picked the hotel. We used a GPS to find the hotel and the GPS told us immediately upon entering the address that the hotel cannot be accessed by... More

One of the worst experiences ever. Assistant manager was quite polite, but guy on duty was very rude and arrogant and front desk manager never bothered to meet us. So where do I start. For a couple in a double bedroom got 2 small pillows, 2 single duvets. Never bothered to change the towels, although requested - made up bed... More

Sadly a pretty poor experience. No instruction as to how to access the property by car, made our way and we're treated rudely at check-in. Construction meant we needed to haul our luggage out onto the street and in a back entrance to the "garden" that is a concrete patio with some potted plants. We had two rooms and they... More

We stayed in joops city centre hotel for one night while visiting friends in haarlem. Joops is part of the ambassador hotel. The check in is done there and the hotel is around the corner. If you wish to take breakfast in the hotel, you will need to walk to the ambassador hotel. The location is very good, just in... More

If you don't like church bells do not stay here or get a room in the back. Ours was awesome facing the church but, it was facing the church. Great staff. Clean and very large rooms for the price. I would stay here again. Cool antiques scattered about the public areas. Walking distance to everything.
