Do not expect anything... there's a reason this is one of the cheapest listed places in Haarlem. I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting my sister who had just given birth. No space in her house which is a typical small (read; tiny) house of Holland. I stayed in a single room on the top floor facing the square...... More

We were booked for 2 nights. On the first night (Saturday), we were just settling down to sleep at 11:30 pm, looking forward to a day of exploring Amsterdam on Sunday. Then, the dance club next door cranked up the music so loud that we could not tolerate even being in the room. The hotel had no place to move... More

We arrived ( 2 adults and an older child on a biking holiday) and were welcomed and we paid for the room. we collected the keys. On climbing some very dangerous steep winding stairs we entered the room to find a cup of milk and an half drunk bottle of coke and 3 part drunk bottles of water. The beds... More

We had a 5 day stay in this hotel with a high school girl group and booked 5 rooms with bathrooms. The checkin was done well by the staff and they offered to help us to the room with our luggage. The stairs are as described by others, steep and with small steps but it met our expectation for old... More

Fantastic location with friendly staff and good food in the restaurant. Breakfast is not served until 07.30 which is far too late for those staying on a business trip. The rooms on the upper floors are approached by flights of extremely steep stairs which are almost vertical. No lift so this hotel not suitable for those who can not climb... More

This hotel is in the city center of Haarlem and not a bad walk from the train station. The staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet was good (pretty standard NL buffet). My husband and I booked a room sans toilet and shower. This really wasn't too bad. We were in #32. There is no AC and I could see... More

Friendly staff and good food in the restaurant. Not a place to stay if you want an early start as no breakfast until 07.30. Very, very steep stairs to the rooms which could be regarded as danderous. Rooms small and airless. I certainly will not be back. More

Spent two nights at this place. Seems like the owners invest mainly in their restaurant and the accommodation is only an after-thought, and not a good one. Main two problems are: (1) tiny rooms that feel old and worn-down, and (2) HORRIBLE levels of noise (if you pick a front facing room, it's above the restaurant with ongoing chatter and... More

Had a short stay here over Easter weekend. Having arrived very late (just gone midnight) was relieved to find they had kept our room vacant! Despite the crowds in the square enjoying the unusually warm spring weather the room (21) was really quiet, other then the sound of the shared shower being used in the floor above. The rooms are... I should have twigged when the manager/owner insisted I paid the bill on my card before I stayed. What an appalling stay. First night (room 11) in a less than 1 star room. Narrow bed, washbasin over the end of the bed so you had to use it from the side. Stairs so steep they were dangerous. 2nd night (room... More
