Andrea and Marco go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful visit to Haarlem. Upon arrival Andrea served us some coffee while waiting for our room and was very interested in chatting about our trip so far and what we were to expect in Haarlem. The room was huge (by European standard) with plenty of room for... More

Stayed midweek with my wife and two teenage children in April 2011. The staff were welcoming and helpful and answered our questions fully over a coffee. I found this a no nonsense comfortable hotel in a great location. The breakfast was substantial and the free wi-fi was a hit with my two boys. I found the free 'help yourself' coffee... More

My boyfriend and I just returned from a stay in Haarlem. We spent four nights at the Hotel Malts and had a wonderful time. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff and treated to some coffee and a chat while we waited for our room (you can leave your luggage there if you feel like... More

The Malts is one of the best B&Bs we stayed in so far. Except for the narrow staircase, we will totally recommend it to all our friends. Marco & Andrea are such warm & helpful people. The breakfast is great, the room nice & spacious & location wise very very good.

We spent the last night of our recent trip to the Netherlands in the Hotel Malts. We found it excellent. It is very centrally located, the owners are very friendly and helpful, We had a very large room, with a narrow bathroom built into one corner, which was small but excellent. Be aware that there are a couple of steep... More

The stairs can be a little tough for old travelers, the same problem half of the other hotels in Haarlem have also, but here the owner will help you up the stairs with your luggage. Even with the stairs, this is my first choice when staying in Haarlem and I have returned to this city at least twice a year... More

Hotel Malts was conveniently located a few blocks off the main square in Haarlem. A charming inn that's recently under new management - Andrea and Marco. We were welcomed by Andrea with a warm cup of tea and coffee, where she offered up any advice on our travel questions. The hotels were very spacious and the beds were the most... More

Stayed for 2 nights at Malts. Having stayed my first night in Haarlem at Amadeus Hotel, Malts is way better than Amadeus! Big and airy room facing the back, which was very peaceful. Very clean bathroom - flooring in the bathroom is even better than my own at home! Towels were pure white and bed linen was crisp! Will definitely... More

We travel quite a lot but we found the staff at this hotel particularly friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home in Haarlem. The hotel lies in the old town, less than five minutes from the Grote Markt, the main square, and within walking distance of the railway station. The price we paid for bed and breakfast was... More

Hotel Malts is in a good location and the rooms are fine, quite large but also a bit rundown. My partner and I enjoyed our time overall in Haarlem as it's a very nice place to spend a couple of days, but my biggest complaint is that the accommodation is so overpriced for what you get. We travel a lot,... More
