This is an offshore workers hotel across the road from the railway station. The original hotel has had portacabin style extensions put on and around it. I was on the 2nd flor and had no exit except for the lift - i.e. no alternative stairs. Only omelette available for breakfast. Pretty jolly in the evening with all the "rigrubbish" around... More

After an overbooking with the hotel I wanted to go to, got this hotel as replacement. I was informed it was "an upgrade"... With the Navy Days happening in Den Helder I noticed that getting a hotel in the city itself was difficult. But I know why there were rooms available here. I got a drink offered upon arriving, which... More

Great food for the price. We arrived late after a trip to Amsterdam on a week day.Rocked up at 9.15. I asked if it was too late to order dinner , was told: Too late? Not for us, what about you? Good staff, helpfull. We Spoke to three persons there. They all spoke English. Very handy place being situated right across... More

We (family of 4) stayed for 2 nights while driving through Europe on vacation from Florida- USA. Our room was nice sized and well appointed and clean-- staff was very friendly and courteous- breakfast was good with several choices-- We travel frequently around the world and would highly recommend if you are passing through Den Helder.

The Wienerhof is just 50 metres from the station so is really handy for visiting den Helder. (The station is a terminus so it's not noisy.) It is a small hotel and the rooms have been modernised with upgraded bathrooms. Some rooms are accessed by going outdoors over a roof garden. There is one small (300 kg) lift. The staff... More

The street is noisy from 5:30 AM. If you cann arrive early for the check in it's better, cuz Night auditor not very helpful. Very nice breakfast. If you need any help ask the women side of the staff... they're more frendly, cooperative and smiley.

The good: Nice convenient location, right near the train station, a decent restaurant, good parking behind the hotel, friendly staff. The average: The decor is bizzare, the lift is, well, to be kind, ancient and cranky. Rooms are very basic but comfortable. Internet is complementary and of average speed. The bad: Baths are small, ground floor location room 7 can... More

Booked into this place by my work travel office after the recommended Lands End Hotel was full. First of all, if you are arriving into Den Helder by train, this place couldn't be better located, just across the road from the train station and on the corner of the main street. The hotel itself, whilst having basic rooms is a... More

We went to Den Helder for the Naval Museum and a trip to the island of Texel. The hotel is in a good location to both the museum and the ferry to Texel. When going out at night there is not a lot to do, enough pubs and cafes to choose from but not a lot of people in them.
