Warmly recommend WestViolet for all single/couples travellers to Amsterdam. Situated in the beautiful and quiet quarter of Jordaan, about a 10 minute walk from the city centre, it's the perfect location for your visit. The B&B only has two rooms (both en-suite with shower wet-rooms) - one on the ground floor and one on the first floor - and a... More

Located in the Jordaan, an authentic central quarter in Amsterdam, this B& is much more than you would imagine. Totally renovated and modernised traditional town house made into a small residence. Small footprint means that the stairs are steep to watch put! Friendly welcome from our host, but otherwise we had free access to the kitchen facilities and food at... More

Can't recommend WestViolet highly enough. Your host Frank is a marvel, hugely caring and very generous. The property is a very comfortable, spacious and warm environment, and situated in the heart of the lovely Jordaan neighbourhood, with some lovely bars, restaurants and cafés only moments away. It's just a short walk (10 minutes) to Dam Square, so the city centre... More

This lovely B&B certanily felt like home and I was welcomed warmly to by the owners. With free run of the kitchen upstairs, I was able to make myself several cups of tea during the evening, and the warm feeling about the place made me want to extend my stay! My ground floor room had doors out to a small... More

We stayed here for 3 nights recently, and we had a good experience overall. The owners were away and we were taken care of by Rosaline who runs another B&B in town. We were late checking in late due to our luggage being lost, and we appreciate Ieke (?) for letting us in. There are only two rooms in the... More

I didn't have the chance to meet Frank & André (on vacation), the owners, but was well taken care of by Rosaline. There are only 2 rooms (doubles) in this B&B, not more than a 10 minute walk from the main train station. The ground floor room is very large, with a small patio off the back and includes a... More

Just a quick note to thank our host, Frank for lending us two bikes for the day to expand our explorations of Amsterdam. The rest of his B&B was perfect - clean, quiet, and well-supplied. Note that the stairs up to the breakfast room are very steep - probably typical for Amsterdam's narrow buildings.

Sorry for the late review - just back in NZ We were made most welcome by Frank . The delightful apt is in a charming area of Amsterdam within easy walking district to the CBD & not too far from Anne Franks House. Our apt was up some stairs ( if mobility a problem ) - it was tastefully decorated,clean,... More

Our large room was on the main floor and even had a small private patio. Frank made us feel welcome. The kitchen is well stocked for a great start to the day. The beds were very comfortable. The room is very clean. There is a small fridge in the room to keep your personal food items. Can't think,of a single... More

2 couples spent 2 nights at the B&B occupying both rooms. The host waited for us (we arrived quite late.) The rooms are clean and spacious. The one upstairs has a better bathroom but one has to carry the suitcases up the stairs (10-15 steps). It's also next to the kitchen but it wasn't a problem for us. The room... More
