Highly recommend for those visiting Amsterdam for a weekend stay. Chose to stay in the loft apartment, Amber. Very central location, superb service from the gentleman that greeted us, very romantic setting within the apartment. Only warning would be the stairs!! Steer clear of any heavy nights out when having to combat them!

My Husband and I stayed here in October for his 40th birthday. We wanted the freedom of an apartment for our stay and after a bit of research decided on the Pearl apartment. The location was fantastic, easy to find from Centraal station, just a 10 minute walk down Singel canal. It was just round the corner from Dam square... More

We stayed for 4 nights back in June and loved every minute of it. The apartment is on the top floor in a typical Dutch canal house. As others have mentioned, the stairs are really steep and do take some concentration, especially with luggage. That said, we coped and it didn't hinder us in any way. Greeted on arrival and... More

We really enjoyed staying at Amsterdam Jewel. As in other reviews, we were greeted at the appt and shown the ropes. The stairs are steep but I don't think you will stay in a canal house without them. We stayed in Ruby, a studio appt with excellent views of the Singel canal and a bank of 3 large windows, the... More

Arrived at this apartment after hauling the suitcases up the incredibly (typical Amsterdam) steep staircase!! The apartment was beautifully presented with all we would need for our 4 day stay in Amsterdam. The bed was comfy and WIFI in the room was good. We ate lunch twice in the lovely little café next door. The apartment itself is in a... More

Me and my wife stayed in the Ruby apartment 4 nights in the middle of our 2 week trip around Europe. We both have said that this was our favorite place we stayed throughout the whole trip. From the moment we arrived until we left we felt like we were locals of Amsterdam. We were greeted and showed around the... More

Due to my own scheduling mistake, I did not actually end up staying here but given how prompt, considerate and kind Marten was in dealing with my mishap, this is still worth a write up, as people want to know they are dealing with good people that they can trust during a trip away from home. Thank you again Marten.... More

My husband and I just returned from 3 nights stay in the Amber apartment. Upon arrival we were greeted by the very nice manager Gani, who showed us the apartment and answers any questions we had. There was construction going on right outside of the apartment, but luckily since we were on the 4th floor, other than some noise, our... More

Location is perfect, out the train station, turn right and follow main road to the first canal (this is singel )turn left and follow it down staying on the left hand side of the water. A perfect place to stay in Amsterdam, view on the Singel gracht, pretty close to Dam square, so in the heart of everything. We had the Ruby appartement in Singel 214, apparently the owner lives on first (or second, who knows this exactly ...) floor. It is quite a steep climb on the staircase, so you should be able to... Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
