I am a frequent traveller and this place is the WORST I have ever been before. I wanted to leave this comment through the website I booked it but as the customer assistant said "they didn´t publish it because of technical problems" So I think is fair everyone knows about the reality of this hostel. The rooms has not window,... More

Location is very good, quality of bedding average for a hostel. DEFINITELY bring earplugs if you want decent sleep. I did and it was the best the decision I made on the trip, as one night a group decided they'd play drinking games in the hostel. People sleep at all times of the day in this place which is kind... This is not a very good hostel. The staff was nice enough, and the place was clean, but I stayed in a room with 20 beds, and they were practically on top of each other. There is no common area, and it perpetually dim. Of course you don't have to pay alot of money, which is nice - but if... More

well, its really really basic an accomodation. For the price, i guess i am not grumbling. The atmosphere of the hostel is a tad strange, partly cos it is rather dim most of the times. There is only 1 functioning computer at any time, so it may be a challenge if you do not have ur own surfing device. Theres... More

Great! You get what you pay for. I stayed for two nights in the females only room. It was clean and had lockers and a kitchen (microwave and fridge included). The matress in my bed was uncomfortable but I slept like a child because I was too tired. I did not like that up there (females room is on a... More

Hello! I've stayed here last week and i think its a nice hostel. Location is very good, next to the Dam and not far from Central Station. Free Internet, friendly people. Thanks a lot :))

I looked at every possible cheap place to stay in Amsterdam and I ended up choosing Aivengo, mainly because of the price. I was very pleased with my choice. I stayed two nights. Checking in was simple and fast, it was only 25 or so Euro's for the two nights. The room I stayed in was on the ground floor,... More

When I walked into my dorm none of the other girls acknowledged me and many seemed to be passed out on their beds. I guess that's what you expect in Amsterdam, but it didn't leave a great impression on me. Some of the staff were friendly, others were not. The room was ok; just a bunch of beds and a... More

I was in Amsterdam to see the Mr B show but was disappointed by the low budget approach the hostel had taken to this new apartment, which makes RyanAir seem like Concorde by comparison. This hostel was not cheap either. Up the top of two flights of corrugated iron stairs at ridiculously steep angle, we were affronted by a room... More

This is a small and efficient hostel with a great location for the young budget traveler in Amsterdam. Very near to the train station, a grocery store, the Dam and the redlight district. Big rooms (20 beds), so noisy and bright, but what do you expect in an Amsterdam hostel? Hopefully not much sleep. Otherwise, the Aivengo is clean and... More
