Having always stayed at the Crowne Plaza near Centraal Station, I was unsure what to expect from the Best Western. We arrived and the staff who greeted us could not be more welcoming. The room we given was the size of a shoebox, it really was small. I asked if we could upgrade but all rooms were fully booked the... More

Last minute booking during a busy weekend landed me here. It served it's purpose, which was a place to shower and sleep, but other than that, there were few amenities to be had. This review is mainly as to the room.... we didn't spend much time in the hotel at all, since it was so lacking. The room decor was... More

My partner and I stayed at the Apollo Museum Hotel for a last minute break in Amsterdam for 2 nights. It was the first time we had been to Amsterdam so weren't too sure where the best location was to stay but we were pleasantly surprised by our choice when we arrived. Upon arrival, all of the hotel staff had... More

On arrival we were told we were being transferred to another hotel for the first night. We had booked here for three nights. The explanation given was that the hotel was over booked. I had booked the hotel some four weeks before my arrival! They paid for the taxi to take us to the new hotel and also for the... More

Is a hotel placed in a good part of Amsterdam, near the museums. Public transportation is easy to find in a 3 minutes walking. Rooms are small, but clean. Mine, 423 was terrible uncomfortable, and noisy, you hear always a machine working, I didn't find actually what it was, but sleeping wasn't easy. And you hear perfectly the people in other... More

In need of a hotel there haven't been many options, but this one was a mess. The wifi in the room was only working while one person for one time was logged in. Two bad in case of a double room. Rooms were clean but crappy (below ground level). Not recomendable at all.

We booked our room only 3 weeks before our week-end in Amsterdam and as it was a French holiday, we were expecting high rates for the hotel room. We still decided to go for what looked like a nice hotel in the center of Amsterdam, right next to the Museum quarter, as we were planning on visiting several exhibitions, but... More

The hotel was very nice with a great view of the canals. Breakfast in the morning was good but a little pricey. We were interested in the museums, Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum and they are just a quick walk from the hotel. The Hard Rock Cafe is just across the canal for dinner and great music.

A perfect location in the Museum District, right next door to the Rijksmuseum, close to the Van Gogh Museum and just opposite the canal district of Amsterdam. Just a short stroll into town across the Donnerbrug to the canal side houses typical of Amsterdam. There are some fast food restaurants just across the bridge, and plenty of other options not... This is an old building virtually right next to the Rijksmuseum, so it's a great location if you plan on visiting museums or Vondel Park. The closest tram stop is within 1/4 mile. You are within easy walking distance of the canal district. The hotel is pleasant and much nicer looking than I expected given the ownership. The building is... More
