Stayed at the Apollo Amsterdam 7-9 Feb 2012. It was only 10.30am so we didnt expect to be able to check in, however the rooms were ready which was nice. However they asked for a 100 euro deposit on the room which needs to be paid cash or card details left. This wasnt made obvious to me at the time... More

The hotel is very clean and modern, set in a brill location right near Vondelpark. We had a evening canal cruise booked with 'Amsterdam City Tours' which was situated just across the street from the hotel which was ideal! The rooms are not the biggest of rooms but are ideal if you want a clean comfortable base for exploring amsterdam!... More

Arrived here at 2.30am on Feb.3rd, extremely late due to snow chaos. Was booked and prepaid for 3 nights. On arrival was asked for €150 deposit and stood there arguing with reception staff as to why I thought this was unreasonable, especially since my room was already paid for. Was told it was hotel policy, to cover incidental expenses during... More

my friend and I stayed at this hotel at the end of January 2012, and our experience was awesome. We got there and the first room we had was small but nice, but the window was broken and it was freezing. We told them this, and they immediately moved us to a bigger and warmer room! The hotel staff was... More

I stayed here in January for a conference. The hotel itself was clean, staff spoke English well, TV in English, and there was a restaurant and bar in lobby. The room was miniscule, in the basement and obviously very dark, no room service, and everything could be heard through the walls. The location is excellent to the Museum Quarter and... More

We were looking for a good safe hotel near to the main attractions, and Apollo Hotel definetely met our needs. PROS: Helpful staff, spacious room (at least ours!), free internet at the lobby (where you can also print for free), elevator in a good condition, fridge in the room, security in the night (they don't open the door unless they... Small room and extremely small bathroom. Expected more from a 3-star hotel. Good location, near two main musea and tram stop. Slow queue to check in and out. Did not like staff behaviour, kind of rude. Having the room at 2 p.m. was late for me. No breakfast included, but available for 12.50 € per person ( I had dinner... More

This hotel was very modern and clean. I stayed here for 1 night in Jan 2012. This hotel was recently renovated in 2009 or 2010. Located 5 minutes from the Van Gogh Museum. Shower door doesnt stay closed so when you take a shower, the floor gets soaked. Other than that, it was great. More

Visited for 5 days at the beginning of August 2011. Good location for visiting the museums of the Museum Quarter, and a short walk to the Leidseplein (for people watching, open air live music some evenings, coffee shops and Burger King for cheap eats). We booked via Lastminute.com with room only as the only option. Six of us so breakfast... More

We stayed at the Apollo in December 2011. Upon arrival we were very impressed with the hotel, the foyer was impressive and the staff were extremely helpfull and friendly. Unfortunately, we were initially placed in a "apartment" room a few doors down from the hotel which we were not impressed with, the stairs were wooden slats and extremely steep and... More
