I stayed in the B&B with a friend for a convention that took place in the RAI Amsterdam. This is a great alternative to an hotel in a great neighborhood just a little off the center. Location: the B&B is located in the Pjip which is a "trendy" neighborhood in the middle between center town and the convention center. It... More

Jasper was a real help in carrying our luggage upstairs, thank god, i am close to 70, do not go there if you have a weight carry problem, 72 stairs, I counted them. Breakfast was ordinary, bread provided was not suitable for toasting, small thin sliced loaf pieces which got lost in the toaster and when toasted were crispy crispy... More

We stayed at the Ostade B and B for three wonderful nights. Jasper makes the B and B totally warm and inviting. Lots of complimentary snacks and nice touches. Yes, it is Amsterdam and the stairs are steep, but the location is superb for getting trams, getting to museums and other sites, and enjoying living in a typical urban, residential... More

We enjoyed our stay in this cosy and homely B&B.. the location was lively and very safe to walk around anytime. Far off better than the touristy areas in town. The rooms are well decorated and furnished with high style. Stayed in the studio room which had a kitchenette inside..very convenient especially with a toddler. We ordered breakfast for one... More

Enjoyed our stay in the very spacious and clean balcony room. Very comfortable bed and lots of attention to detail, plus a very friendly, helpful and attentive host. Breakfast was simple but there was plently of choice and having a communal dining/kitchen/living room area meant that we were able to chat with the other guests. The secure parking space is... More

My girlfriend and I drove to Amsterdam and stayed at this wonderful B&B in the trendy De Pijp neighborhood. We parked at the Olympic stadium P+R lot, that gets you free tram passes and when you use them, its only 6 Euro to park per day! With a short tram ride to within close walking distance of the B&B. We... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam and this B&B was very conveniently located in a nice area. We have stayed in this area before and decided to try a B&B. This was a nice choice. Service was wonderful and room was spacious and clean. Steps are a bit harrowing, have to be very careful, I took a spill down... More

Really enjoyed our stay here as it's exactly the kind of B&B experience we were looking for - relaxed and welcoming and rather like having our own apartmnet in a great part of the city. We had the balcony room and it was huge with a great balcony with a charming view onto the backs of the houses and a... More

You can find wide and brigh accomodation at few tram stops from the inner city, and at 10 minutes walking from Van Gogh and Rijiskmuseums. But above all the kind attention of kasper and tom will be the real asset - and make different this B&B comparing with all the others we visited. It was my birthday when we arrived;... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
