This is not kind of hotel. It is very small property running by two old people who also stay there. there is not reception and hotel start from second floor as there is shops on the ground floor and owner lives on first floor. The stairs are very nerrow ( maximum width is 16 inches) and no lift , so... More

Visited at beginning of October for a quickie weekend break, when we arrived we were told that it was full and we were being put in a room just up the road above an Irish bar and that worked out to but the better place for us. We had a room for just the three of us which was huge... More

The location is good for traveling, however this hotel is not comfortable for staying, everything is dirty and old. If you care about cleaning and noise, better to select another hotel.

I stayed at this hostel for three nights with my sister. Our room was on the top floor so there were lots of steep stairs but this didnt bother us too much. Our room was basic but nice with a sink, tv and plenty of plug sockets. It also had nice big windows that opened fully onto a lovely view... More

So this hostel has a pretty bad reputation, but only by those who have missed the point. I spent four days here with the intention of experiencing Amsterdam the way it should and this hostel was what i needed. (to "mong" out) a place to go chill out and then get up and go and since this hostel is situated... More

Got landed in this hotel thanks to our hostel somehow double booking our room. First impressions are not the greatest but once you are there it is absolutley fine. The stairs up are steep, narrow and dark. Once in all the staff seemed very friendly and we were given the room nearest to the toilet. The room itself was very... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
