The only one advantage of this hotel is location. Rooms are terrible, very small and not clean. No promised wifi. I'll never suggest this hotel to my friends.

Booked the Hotel Tamara for 2 persons for 3 nights in June, 2011 it cost 190 Euro for the room for the three nights. We arrived and got a taxi to Hotel Tamara which cost 12 euro this was the first rip-off - it was about a 2 minute drive. The outside of the hotel was grubby and dirty we...

I am all for budget hostels and sparse rooms, but this was DISGUSTING!
horrible shared bathroom, noisy, smelly stuffy room with NO WINDOW! and 100% heard mice scratching around our room during the night!
horrifically overpriced for what you actually get...should be a lot cheaper...
like about £5 a night!
I am really not fussy and have stayed in lovely...

Well, when we turned upto hotel tamara (my brother and I) I was shocked for words...I like others thought that I was in hell.... Dark stairwell, everything extremely old, beds and bedding looked older than my grandma. We decided to stay a night and see what happened. Checked the beds, no bed bugs but decided to sleep in our sleep...

We had a great time in Amsterdam and really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Tamara.
The rooms weren't that big but they were clean and cozy and safe.
The staff are really helpful and you can get a cup of tea or coffee free at any time.
We loved it here and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone...

The moment I stepped into reception, I knew this was a mistake. We were told at reception that there were 3 shared toilets in the building, but only 1 of them was working.
Yes you heard right, one toilet for the whole hotel (say 30 ppl?). The toilet that did work was tiny and utterly disgusting.
When we walked into...

We enjoyed our staying at Tamara, cheap and clean! Charming owner, playful cat and free coffe and tea! We also got free drinks at irish pub nearby and had a good party there:)
Me and my friends stayed here in May 2010. We went to Amsterdam in 2009 and stayed in a really nice hotel which was miles away and cost a fortune for cabs etc. So when we turned up to hotel Tamara we were a bit shocked but for the price and location it is an ok place. 6 of us...
