I've stayed at Stayokay twice while I was in Amsterdam. It's a short metro ride away from the center of town. All of the staff that was working were wonderful. There was a free cold breakfast, but hey its free. The bar was a really nice touch to the place! Wifi is only in the lobby, but if you get... More

Provided free breakfast which I did not expect. Beds were really comfortable. Top bunk wasn't very easy to get off from but I survived lol. Not really walking distance from city centre but easy tram or bike ride away and if you're out late when trams aren't running cab was only about a tenner from central station. Friendly staff and... I liked it a lot. The rooms were big with their own WC and shower and my roommates were very friendly. I liked the included morning buffet and the very cheap Happyhour drinks.:) Helpful staff as well.

People say that there's 0 atmosphere in the hostel... that actually depends on what you're searching for and your ability to make friends. I am travelling with one friend and we found it easy to meet other people. Renting a bycicle in the hostel is cheap and you get to the centre in about 20 minutes by the side of... More

Really good place to stay. Super clean, the only thing is that is a bit far from the centre. But if you get a bike, them there's no problem. Free breakfast, laundry avaiable, helpfull hosts and happy hour bar.

Whilst I wouldn't call it bad , staff friendly , rooms clean it is out the way. I love walking but u def can't here. You have to take the bus..(10 mins tho). Depends what you want from your trip but this is more groups etc and less partying!

Only stayed here for one night and it was a decently comfortable stay but just a few minor details that dampened the experience. Our sink leaked, the shower requires you to turn the water on every 30 seconds which was annoying and checkout is 10:15 which they are really strict about- a man entered our room without knocking before 10:15... ZERO atmosphere!!! WARNING 1: Lots of tour groups/school groups for one night only (some of the teenagers were noisy) so it is hard to meet anyone etc WARNING 2: Is 10min on tram to Dam Square (1hr walk or 15min on bike) be prepared to pay for public transport or hire a bike (I hired on in the city with... Just a tram journey away from the centre this hostel is basic but serves the purpose. The breakfast was well better than expected. The staff are friendly, but a little over worked. The hostel wasn't particularly noisy. I do think it was quote expensive compared to nicer hostels in say Berlin, but then again Amsterdam is an expensive city.

A group of 5 of us stayed in a 6 bed private dorm. We booked through the website - it worked out quite cheap at a standard price (considering a buffet breakfast is included) but they also offer a cheaper non-refundable booking if you're really trying to save money. Unlike a previous visit to Amsterdam when I stayed at another... More
