We visited the Stayokay hostel in Zeeburg as part of a group. As this is a hostel, the accommodation is fairly basic but, having said that, it is scrupulously clean and provides everything one needs for a short stay and at a fraction of the price charged by many hotels in Amsterdam. Our two-bedded en suite private room was sparsely... More

I went on a trip to Amsterdam with my school, so I didn’t expect to have a very luxurious hostel. But it was a nice hostel, we had everything we needed. It’s very good for big groups because there are many rooms and you can sleep in a room up to six persons. We were in a room for six,... More

I went to Amsterdam for 3 days with my school. We were only in the hostel to sleep and for breakfast. The breakfast was good and you had a lot of things to choose. The chambers were just normal. But it was very handy that everyone had his own badge and not one key for the chamber. So for this... More

I went with my school mates on a trip to Amsterdam. The hostel was not very luxoues but it was very comfortable to be with my school. The breakfast was very nice and there was a lot of choice.the location of the hostel was good because it was near to the city center.

I went on a trip with my University's Geography Society, and so we expected much less from this. The room was really spacious for 6 six of us, with two bathrooms, and was ready in time, although not all were. We had out breakfasts there both mornings, although it was a pretty basic selection, but we managed. One day, me... More

The hostel is in a former school and is big and very busy. Room and ensuite was OK - typical hostel rather than hotel but fair value for the price. Breakfast was good and plentiful but a lot of people and a very long queue. A short 2-3 minute walk to the tram stop and then 10 minutes or so... More

The hostel is really nice and not even 10 minutes away from the city center - by tram. I love the building and the room had everything you need: clean sheets, nice bathroom. No lockers though. The breakfast was delicious and for all tastes. You can even taste the typical Dutch breakfast. All in all,it was a great experience.

As far as location, it is not right in the center of everything. The best option is taking the metro or bus into the City Center. The Hostel is a very short walk from the metro. The breakfast was good, but the same thing everyday. If you are staying for a long period of time, you will want a couple... More

For this to be a hostel, we thought it was nice. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, we would have liked more mirrors. :) The breakfast was really good, lots of choice, it was diverse, spacious breakfast area. You can tell that it's a cheap hotel, but they really made an effort to make it look colourful.... More

... not when you're checking in thinking it's a hotel. When we booked on booking.com, the page wasn't clear it was a hoStel, and then our problems began. As I said above, if you book a hostel, you really get what you've wanted. Nice and spacious place, great cafeteria, bar and a very nice staff. Certainly it's a Hostel to... More
