The pluses: Friendly staff that we able to check us in after hours, modern clean room, comfy bed, and a lightly stocked free mini-bar. Great location. The Minuses: Felt it was expensive for what we got. We were in a ground floor room, which had a view of the canal but it was hard to see behind the street and... More

After a long journey to reach Amsterdam, I was able to check in quickly and managed to catch a nap before going sight-seeing. The bed was comfortable and the decor, sophisticated and charming. My room had a nice view of the Prinsengracht (one of the canals). The hotel has 2 advantages over the typical canal-house hotels that are so common in... More

This hotel was our first stop after flying into Amsterdam. We were very pleased with the location. It was located across from a canal, so boat watching was fun. Many shops, restaurants, and parks in easy walking distance to the hotel. We picked the hotel due to the close vicinity to our rental car pick-up. Despite the busy foot traffic,... More

On the outskirts of the main part of Amsterdam with everything you need to see within easy walking distance. Very nice newly restored old building. Very modern fittings and design that is very functional and nice. View out over the canal from both our rooms. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We had the best coffee... More

Staff is excellent--welcoming, helpful, and very efficient. Room decor is very attractive with modern bath, all very clean. Our room had windows on two sides with perfect views of canal and trees below. Window seat! Room had all amenities although bedside lamps should have been hung lower for reading. .Breakfast is served below the ladder-like stairs typical in the Netherlands. Staff... More

Boutique hotel ,great location, comfortable bed , linen, staff, breakfast all great. However as an older traveller I would expect in a double room to be able to walk around the bed for those night time loo visits , maybe for many this isn't a problem but for this grumpy gran it was , we paid £ 580 for 4 nights and felt... Stayed for four nights in an exec double to get away from work and had the most fantastic time. Wonderful quirky hotel with brilliantly designed rooms. So pleased and great value for money. Room overlooked river and had a giant window seat that we could both lay on, felt like luxury to us! Amazing facilities at a really great price,... More

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days with my Mum on a trip for sightseeing and visiting friends. There were so many things I loved about the hote, along with a few very minor frustrations. I would definitely return but would really love to see them resolve the niggles. Loved - the location. The airport bus drops off 5... More

After the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, I can't help feeling a little disappointed by this hotel. It is indeed well placed for the centre of Amsterdam, close to the museums etc. and has been tastefully restored inside a splendid old building. But there are several negative points: the hotel is on a busy road and despite the double glazing, the... More

We found this 3 stars hotel quite good. The location is very nice, close to the museum quarter and Vondel Park and the facilities were comfortable, even though the hotel is a combination of 2 old buildings together. The staff was very friendly and helpful, both in the reception and in the breakfast room. Breakfast was served in a very... More
