Well located hotel. Small rooms, but clean and affordable. The heater wasnt well that you could control, but was ok. Good option for the price. Close to Red Light District and Central Station. Has a restaurant in the basement, but in my floor was quiet.

Best thing about this hotel is the location, next to Dam Square. Situated above a pub so was noisey at night and trams ringing bell outside. Breakfast not available till 8.30. Not much good when the tours start at 9.00! Room okay but needs maintenance. Had to ask if someone could help with luggage as stairs are very narrow and... More

This hotel was advertised to be 1 Star but I believe it may now be 3 Star; either way, it's a 3 star hotel in my opinion. Location is brilliant, very central and close by Dam Square. The staff are very helpful and very polite. Originally there were only 8 of us booked in but 2 more booked on after;... More

Just returned from The Corner House Amsterdam, spent 2 nights here, room was very large and clean and had a lovely wet room, only down side was the noise from the main road and it was on the 4th floor (no lifts), staff were fantastic, very friendly and polite, the location was very central, within walking distance of all attractions,... We chose the hotel for its centralized location, and that seemed to be a good choice. We feared for absent peace and quiet since the hotel is located above the bar/pub. Wrong fear, we had a very pleasant stay, we heard no noise coming from the bar. The one thing we did hear were trams passing by. But staying in... More

First time I have stayed here. Location, staff, price all perfect. Now my favourite hotel in Amsterdam. You have to book ages in advance for a single room, but I will be planning my dates for 2016 very soon. Big thanks to Marek! What an amazing guy.

Location 1 min walk from Dam square. Comfortable beds and clean rooms, didn't try the food but all in all a great place to stay. Quad room was fine for four friends and the shower room was a walk in shower which was nice. Would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel.

We only popped in for a drink but the bar staff where really friendly and helpful. They had a good range of beers and served a great cup of tea according to the wife. I’m strictly a beer man when in bars. Would be a great base to explore Amsterdam.

The hotel's location is very good which makes it easy to locate. It is only around 10 minutes walk from the Amsterdam Central Station. You are close to everything. Our room is located on the 1st floor with floor to ceiling windows and looks out to the road. The hotel also has very good acoustics since there is a bar... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
