This hotel is good for the price in central Amsterdam. Its a bit of a walk from central station so if you have large luggage try to convince a cab to drive you (they will try telling you its not a far walk but that's only because the one-way streets makes it hard for them to get back to central... The hotel is clean and in a ok area except the street its on is one of the busiest streets for bikes and motorcycles(very noisy). It's impossible to keep the windows open because of the noise generated by the street below. The rooms are updated in an old building however the insulation between rooms is poor

Typically guest house / small hotel settings . Rooms small but clean. Having stayed during one of the hottest weekends of the year and room 3 above the kitchen the word oven did not describe the heat in the room . The friendly team provided a pedestal fan and we opened one of the windows that would open .However to... More

Best thing of Teun: the staff! They all were really friendly and kind, always ready to help! The food was delicious and the homemade ice tea was unbelievably good! The position of the hotel is perfect, you can reach Dam square in 10 minutes and the street is plenty of nice bars and shops.

Great location - close to a supermarket, coffee shop, café, gelato place and lots of restaurants. The room was small but extremely clean and a nice bathroom. The rooms have just been renovated. We weren’t in the hotel very much but when we were it was cozy and relaxing.

Great location, but do not accept lodging in room 4. It was smaller than most boat cabins. The toilet was in a separate closet 12 inches from the head of the bed. The sink/ shower was a few feet away in a separate spot-- had to step upa foot or so to enter. No room for suitcases, no bedside table... More

This is a strange little hotel. The rooms are spacious with 3 beds. They are clean with great natural light. The bathrooms are awkward with a shower in a good sized room with a sink and separate toilet area which is really small. The registration desk is the counter of the cafe and the staff is very nice. It is... More

We stayed in Teun on April. It was a bit cold in the rom, but everything was compencated with absolutely great view through the window and very cosy room. The room is very small but we have own bathroom wich is rare in Amsterdam. I definitely will choose this place next time.

Almost everything else is fine here expect the price! .. Honestly rooms are moderate, narrow (even the bigger ones) ..Though the beds in the rooms are ultra soft! You got to love them. Wifi works slowly. The joint works ideally for nightlife explorers and not so demanding couples. Good stuff here is that you can feel the local vibe, atmosphere... More

Place with character. Nice cafe restaurant downstairs. Breakfast of croissants, fresh warm rolls, toast with cold meats and cheese, jam and nutella. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. Rooms are nice. Good decor. White and simple with comfortable beds. All clean. Modern en-suite bathroom/wetroom with separate en-suite toilet. Towels changed daily. Very central location with easy access to all sites.... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
