I was very impressed with the quality and location of this apartment. Stayed last weekend with a friend and delighted with the value for money. The bathroom was great, powerful/high pressure shower,(even had spot lights through the tiles) I could watch the Olympics over the weekend. It was quiet and the apartment was set in a posh street. The bed... More

We were very impressed with this apartment overall. It was run very professionally and checking in and out was very easy (we didn't even meet the owner/landlord - we were buzzed in to the building and a white envelope was waiting for us in the lobby with our key and instructions inside). The inside of the apartment was lovely and... More

Fantastic accommodation. Large room with kitchen including all things you possibly can need including dishwasher. Dining table, sofa and iron. Modern style, tasteful furnished. Very well maintained. Close to the 'concertgebouw' and 'rijksmuseum'. We stayed here in the summer and just loved the place.

Really lovely accommodation, easy to get to, good instructions. Nice part of Amsterdam glad we did not have accommodation near the Central Station.

We stayed here this past weekend for 3 nights and what a fantastic job my honey did with securing this apartment. This is a totally self-serve apartment. There is no receptionist or anyone to greet you. The only staff are the care takers, who did a fantastic job and were very attentive. We arrived in Amsterdam much earlier then the... More

This is an apartment: no hotel reception, but when you ring the doorbell and tell your name, they let you in, and on a table in the lobby you'll find an envelope with the room keys. The credit card number you gave when you booked the room is charged when you arrive, and you'll receive a receipt to the room... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
