We stayed in these apartments in February 2016 and found them to be excellent. Everything was neat and tidy and very well equipped. Any problems we had were taken care of efficiently. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to stay near the museum quarter.

I got a room in the basement, although it is not ideal, I was not disturbed. The location is excellent at museum quarter (Van Gogh and Rijks). There is also grocery in 5 minutes walk and a short walk to tram and bus station.. River cruise is behind the museum. When check in, press the call button.. and there will... More

The room was apartment was hotel spec. With all necessary sundries provided. I was doing the marathon so this really was a perfect location as it was close to Expo/Start (tram ride away) and close to city centre for some celebratory beers and food afterwards. Supermarket is a 5min walk away. Some lovelyrestaurants close by. We were on the ground... More

Bit nervous about having a basement room, but it was clean, surprisingly roomy, and really well equipped. In fact we ended up touring the markets to buy food for our evening meals instead of eating out. There was a small amount of noise, but nothing to be concerned about given the location. Some extra coffee capsules would have been nice,... More

Lovely relaxing place to stay after a long flight from NZ.It was really quiet. A garden and balcony were a bonus. The location was excellent , within walking distance of good restaurants and the Museum Quarter where there was a good supermarket. A comfortable bed, good shower and nice living area with couch and chair.

Great location on quiet residential street, short walk to museums, parks, grocery store, shops and restaurants. Take a bar of soap and facecloth with you, if you like to shower that way, otherwise there are liquid soap dispensers for the shower and bathroom sink. Also take a J-cloth and soap for the kitchen – there’s no soap or cloth for... More

We booked our Nova apartment just 2 weeks in advance of our stay. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay, is close by public transportation which is very easy to use to get around. Thanks to the previous reviewers we knew to get the 197 bus from School for €5 each. On the way back very early... More

What we liked; 1. Convenient location to De Pijp facilities and nearby restaurants, bars and quieter hidden residential local bars and restaurants. 2. Modern apartment with modern fittings 3. Quiet residential area close to the trams. 4. A convenience store 3 roads away to top up our chip cards. 5. Free Wi-Fi What we didn’t like; 1. Basement studio with... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
