We were in Amsterdam only for a short time at the end of our European Tour and booked to stay at this wonderful accommodation. We booked the Red Room up on the 2nd Floor with beautiful views over the Canal. Evening drinks with Peter and Walter along with other guests was a joy and help with restaurant booking made it... Book it! Peter and Walter are so welcoming, and their attention to detail is reflected in every part of this unique B&B. The location and their hospitality could not be better. Excellent food, charming and thoughtful design, great views of the canal, and lots of good suggestions for best chocolate shops, bakeries and farmers markets. I had a wonderful visit... More

Great location! Impeccable service!! Peter, our host, was absolutely amazing!! We felt welcomed right from the time we walked through the doors of Kamer01. With just 3 rooms, this B&B offers personalised service. Peter took care of everything....right from breakfast, to reserving dinner tables....and also with our packing!! (we needed cardboard boxes for our shopping!) Tommie, the Beagle, is one... More

Its difficult to tell you exactly what is the most outstanding feature of this B&B. The entire place is a lesson in design. Beautifully thought out and planned, it makes me wish I had this talent. The location was perfect for us to do what we wanted to do. The breakfast service was wonderful. Each course was carefully prepared and... More

This B&B was far above our expectations. From the way we were greeted, to the decor of the room and dining area, to the great breakfasts, to Peter making reservations for great restaurants and obtaining museum tickets that made standing in line a thing of the past- it is impossible to think of anything negative about our experience.

This is a charming, well-located, well-appointed B&B. Our host was Peter and he was helpful in planning our trip and in getting reservations to restaurants and tickets to museums, etc. A touch I very much appreciated was the recording of "The Little Dutch Mill" which was played at breakfast time. Breakfasts were beautiful! The food was not only delicious, but... More

Everything from the location to the quality of the rooms to the service and warm welcome were all increasing our list of pros for this one. We had the good fortune of finding Kramer01 and spent four wonderful days there. The property is in the heart of Amsterdam and the rooms are done with great taste and style. My wife and I were treated like royalty by Peter, the proprietor. There was nothing he could not do for us- and his breakfasts were off the charts.... More

Everything about Kamer01 is Special with a capital 'S'. We visited Amsterdam back in April to celebrate a significant birthday (40), and it really couldn't have been more perfect. The hosts, Peter, Wolter (and Tommie) welcome you into their home, which is a lovingly restored Amsterdam townhouse in a wonderful location overlooking a canal. The attention to detail is second... Staying in Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)

Neighborhood Profile
Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
