I stayed here over a weekend in March. Very unique eclectic building. Hotel staff were friendly and professional. Loved the location. The exercise room in the basement could used some updating. Left my phone in the room and the staff were great about getting it returned to me.

Dear Tenrag D, Thank you very much for writing a review on TripAdvisor. Feedback gives us the opportunity to continuously improve our services. It is always inconvenient when you lose valuables and especially abroad therefore, I am glad to read the phone has find you well. We are currently brainstorming about our gym facilities and we can find ourselves in... More

We recently had a long weekend break in Amsterdam and stayed at this hotel. Great location because of its close proximity to railway station. Easy to walk to local attractions and city centre. Hotel is very nice building. Good, interesting architecture. High ceiling rooms giving a feel of space. Comfortable bed and really large bath tubs. Extremely good to relax... More

To start with the positives, the building of the Amrath is beautiful and the situation is good. The receptionists were friendly and helpful when I checked in. I was told that breakfast wasn't included in my room rate so I reserved breakfast for the following morning. So far so good. However, after checking in, things went downhill. Firstly, because the... Hotel was very conveniently placed - easy to get to from the station and very handy for walking into city centre. The hotel itself was beautiful and the decor was lovely. My room was a good size and had everything we needed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but each day there... More

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff helpful and friendly we did not eat at the hotel as the breakfast was too expensive. The location is excellent being close to the station and all the main areas. The only downside was that the bathroom door was more of a screen which meant no privacy. We would stay here again though only... More

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary - i contacted the hotel by email months ago to enquire on the hotel restaurant and told them we wanted something special as it was our anniversary weekend. We arrived by train from airport - short 10/15 minute walk to hotel - check in... More

Hotel overall was lovely and staff very friendly and welcoming. The building itself is very old with lots of character which is so much nicer than a generic chain. We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday and a couple of different members of staff said happy birthday as well surprising us with a complimentary cake... More

Great front of house staff let down by poor cleaning standards. Beautiful architecture but rooms tatty and tired. Mini bar predominantly non alcoholi drinks not quite as promised. Overall a 4 star experience. Not really a satisfied customer. Great building deserves better.

We stayed for 3 nights. Got a great deal from Expedia. It was such a nice hotel. Bathroom was amazing, HUGE tub which is rare in Europe. Great views! Old and new at the same time. Close to trains, canal and red light district (but also far enough away). Staff were so nice and attentive, Mini bar was free (soda,... More
