This B&B has great potential. Just needs some attention. I stayed here for 3 nights with 3 friends. The room itself was clean but had some issues that should have been addressed before our arrival. PROS- Nice decent sized clean room. Nice décor. Good shower Good location, tram 4 straight to city centre Lidl supermarket directly across the road Nice... More

Without doubt the grubbiest establishment I have ever stayed in. The room itself was tidy but smelled musty. The bedclothes were a disgrace; marks on the pillowcases that I think might have been mould. Filthy carpet. No lifts, narrow stairs. No offer of assistance with my bags. I was only booked for one night. If it had been more I'd... More

Stayed for a few days with friends. Pleasant and friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast and a great location right near the water and public transport links. Very pleased! Highly advised.

Rooms were comfortable and clean with good heating, Staff were very helpful and breakfast was good with a variety of choice. Push blikes available for hire and public transport close by. Loads of fantastic restaurants in the area. I would recomend this place for a comfortable stay.

We arrived on the 8th of April 2014 and we were astounded by the filth and the lack of customer care. Appalling level of maintenance and cleanliness, No working TV ( the owner had been in dispute with the providers, presumably the bill was unpaid ) No heating at a time it was needed. Poor and often non existent assistance... More

Not bad...good for the price and the staff is very helpful. There's no WiFi in room 9. The breakfast is OK. I recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap place to stay close to the center and you are not very demanding. Great for youngsters!

Close to the tram and Rambrandt plein, nice area, a big choice of cheap restaurants. Albert s market very close, great. Prefer a day or several days gvb public transport card because there is plenty to do and it s splitted in different areas.

This place is scary! no staff, very dirty, no heating, window not isolated, cobwebs on the ceiling, hair on the carpet, shower curtain torn, doors slammed all night, very expensive for a very low quality! Never go to this place. I got sick after a 3 night stay ... help!!

We arrived late due to a flight delay (9PM) and had to wait a while for anyone to answer the door to the hotel. The lady in charge wasn't even there.. she came walkingdown the block asking how long we had been waiting. Be prepared for a TON of tiny steps.. the staircase is ridiculous. The price was fairly cheap... More

We arrived at 2pm to be ignored by the woman in reception. We climbed 4 flights of death trap stairs, to a dirty smelly room. Pillows and sheets looked mouldy. The window didn't close properly and let water into the room. Heating didn't work so we were cold. I couldn't bear to eat breakfast somewhere so dirty. We used the... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
