Great, cheap hotel. Very cosy rooms and comfy beds. Personally, I loved the location. 5 minute walk to Leidseplein Square and on bike (the hotel offer bikes to hire), all the other attractions are a 10/15 minute ride! Sometimes I did feel like I was being watched by the people that worked there, but I did enjoy my stay.

I am currently staying at this hotel writing this review . We arrived on the 7th April. Check in was good and to greet us in the reception was Hank who was extremely friendly, polite and helpful, he provided all the information on the area. Our room was up the spiral stairs (OMG they are horrific) on the 1st floor,... More

Even before I arrived I was already impressed with how attentive the staff was. I had sent an email about 2 weeks previous to my trip questioning how to get to the hotel from Schipol Airport. When given information, I was asked about the dates of my stay. Sooo thankful for this since the travel agency had messed up and... More

I am a very small person so this hotel fit me just fine! The rooms are very cute, and they definitely made the most with what little space they had as design purposes are concerned. The only negative thing I can say about our room was that the bathroom, although cute, was teenie tiny, with a glass see through door.... More

Have just come back from a 3 night stay at this hotel and have to say it was excellent! I really need to echo many of the previous reviews which praise how helpful and friendly the staff were, they were a credit to the hotel! The location is fantastic, about a 5 minute walk to Leidseplein, including a number of... More

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at NL Leidseplien and would definatley recommend it to anyone planning a break in Amsterdam! On the whole the hotel was great! As mentioned in some other reviews to location is perfect, just behind Leidseplein, walking distance to all the main attactions and areas but also just far enough away from the... More

Staff very friendly and helpful but the superior canal view room we booked had already been given to another couple! Initially shown to a tiny, back facing room but then moved to a slightly larger one and given 10% discount and free breakfast to compensate for booking error. Breakfast was good and hotel spotless. Really weird bathroom in both rooms... More

We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice however the hotel and the rooms have some downsided. starting with the good things: the location is not bad, it's about 4 minutes walk from Leidsplein, where you can find a lot of restaurants, bars and also public transport to the Central... This grand, old hotel is situated right in the heart of Amsterdam, just around the corner from the famous canals. The staff are incredible friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Some of the rooms have had a re-vamp. Given the history of the hotel, the ultra modern decor of these rooms doesn't feel quite right! They are... More

We were only in Amsterdam for a long weekend to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. This hotel may be small in size, but is HUGE on hospitality and customer service. On arrival, the gentleman on reception could not do enough to help us, he was very friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humour. Our room was on the... More
