A good choice if you are travelling on a budget. The hotel is divided into two separate parts, the one we stayed in had recently been redecoraded. The rooms were nice, but there were no pegs on the wall for jackets, and nowhere to put our towels in the bathroom. Btw, the bathroom is the smallest that I have ever... More

Cheap and cheerful. One of the comfiest beds I've ever stayed in abroad. Would 100% stay here again. Loads of shops, trams, buses, bars, etc at its doorstep. Plenty of bike rental places to cycle around Vondelpark which is 2 minutes away.

When we planned our trip to Amsterdam, a lot of hotels popped up on the list, so we decided to start from the not so expensives and go to the top ones, this one in particular was really close to the start of the list and it was a pleasant surprise when we checked the photos and decided for it.... Staff were friendly and good location. Beds were terrible you can feel all the springs when you lay or sit on mattress. Asked twice for extra pillow never received. Lugged heavy luggage up flight of stairs to check in only to lug it all back down as staying in their building next door. No breakfast included in rate, extra €10... More

We chose this hotel because of the price and the location. By those two criteria, this was a good choice. It is a very convenient location for busy pedestrian streets containing shopping, restaurants, etc. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk to the famous museums and a bit longer to walk to Central Station (in the opposite direction). There is a... More

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in - our room was smelly as there was one window that led to a shaft, and there was no air circulating in the room. The room was extremely noisy, as it was close to the elevator - we had to sleep with earplugs. There was a fan in the... More

We stayed at this hotel in 2012 and 2013 when we went to Amsterdam. Rooms are small but cosy. Reception was always happy to help. The hotel is in a great location just round the corner from one of the busiest square with loads of restaurants, shops and coffee shops. Hotel looks onto the canals. Never had breakfast when we... Great location, friendly staff. Overall decent, but towels and toilet paper shouldn't be considered a luxury. It's a necessity. Been there twice and liked it both times, but don't expect anything very special.

Took a last-minute, overnight trip into the city for a performance at the Stadsschouwburg, and the Quentin was in the right location (on the river just around the corner from the Leidesplein) and at the right price (under 100 euro). The hotel is quirky with modern touches and colorful, large scale art. The staff at the desk during check-in and... More

The room was €140 per night, but you are better off going to get a single room in a hostel. I admit I did get a standard economy room but not even the bedding was clean. Don't pay €10 for the breakfast, it is really not good, you can get a great breakfast up the road for less. The owner... More
