The hotel is horrible, tiny rooms at least mine wich was 205, it really looks like a cleaner cupboard, avoid that room!!!! They didn't change the sheets in my whole stay and it was 4 days, the bed was really uncomfortable and it's not cheap at all and the elevator is for 2 people and 200 years old! The only... More

The hostel is at a 3 mins walk distance from the central station which is excellent. However you have to check in at the other hotel's reception which is next to the hostel, so it can be annoying if you have heavy luggage cuz you have to climb up to the typical steep stairs of Amsterdam. Staffs were nice and... More

We stayed here as a group of 3, after climbing the very steep steps to check in at neighbouring hostel, The Orange Tulip, we had to trek back downstairs and then up 2 flights of very steep stairs to our room as the lift was out of service. Our room had 3 single beds and a private bathroom. The whole... More

Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location with many restaurants and bars metres away from front door! But it is the location you pay for. Basic room suitable for a one night stop over but would not advise for staying more than two nights. Cleanliness was questionable, thick dust on radiators bur bedding was clean.

After a terrible experience at the Hampton Inn Airport hotel, I made a last minute booking here. It was a single bed room with a private bath. VERY tiny, but you have to understand this is a hostel, not a five star hotel. With that mindset, it was great! Whoever was at the front desk was always friendly and helpful.... More

cheap hotel with a little bit creepy atmosphere in single room. old fashioned, slightly dark with small window and shrunken space evokes the claustrophobic atmosphere. nothing special, good for short staying, long one may be slightly hard. Any way, room was clean with hot water in tap ;) two positives - brilliant location and friendly staff.

Stayed here twice for a few nights. First time in a 10 bed dorm. 2nd in a 4 bed private. Had no problems with both, only average thing was so many stairs to get to the private room. People at reception very helpful and hostel is in great location, close to train station and shopping strip.

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
