We just returned from our recent trip to Amsterdam. We cruised into Amsterdam and stayed 3 nights at the Movenpick which is conveniently located next to the cruise terminal. Tram #26, which is just one stop from Centraal Station, has a stop across the street from the hotel. Our stay at the hotel was fabulous. The staff at the hotel... More

Everything you would expect from a 4 star. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Central station is only 10mins walk & the hotel offer a free shuttle service to and from there. Rooms where moderate in size and kept very tidy. Views where great. Bathroom was spotless, with a nice power shower. Great for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Stayed for a longer weekend here July 12 and really liked the comfortable stay and excellent rooms. View from hotel rooms (we were a group of four with two rooms) were excellent over the river, far into the city. A very short tram trip from the main station, a nice walk on sunny days. Staff were very polite and professional.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Moevenpick after completing a 14 day Holland America cruise in Rotterdam. It is a modern hotel with all the amenities. It is an easy .6 mile walk to the Amsterdam Central Station and main tram station. You can also take Tram 26 or use the hotel's shuttle to get to Central Station. Breakfast... More

Just spent three days here and it's been very well organized. Room is spot on as is the food. Makes the days much easier to focus on. Good location with transfers to the city centre. Some top class restaurants within walking distance.

Stayed here in early may with a groupon voucher. Check-in was pretty straight forward-although I must say if you have a credit it would be best to use this, as using a debit card means the deposit of €100 is taken from your account and can take up to a month to be returned. The rooms were very clean and... More

Stayed at the Moevenpick Hotel on May 7, 2013 before a river cruise. Beautiful hotel, close to the train station and an easy walk to Dam Square and the river cruise ships. Staff were very helpful and the restaurants were excellent.

Quality Swiss owned hotel with very helpful staff. Well appointed room with views over the waterways near Centraal Station. Quite a way out of the city centre, especially after a night out! Didn't use the restaurant so cannot comment. Breakfast was taken elsewhere near the station. Public transport passes nearby for those for whom the walk into town is too... More

We extended 3 nights after our Viking River Cruise, so we didn't pick the hotel, but we were very pleased. The breakfast which was included in our room price was fabulous (buffet and cook to order eggs), the executive lounge was very nice, the rooms were top notch, and the entire place was spotless. The staff went above and beyond... More

Stayed here for 1 night, good location close to the city center, nice staff, clean and spacey rooms(with a great view). Seemed a bit boring though, but I guess that's normal with large hotels like this. Highly recommended if you're travelling for business, or looking for a quiet place to crash for the night.
