Currently on vacation w/ 3 teens (19, 16, 14), and we booked due to cost. This was the cheapest place we could find for the 5 of us, but what a nice surprise! Place is clean, room is large, great staff, and perfect location. We are very happy with this choice. We paid 600 USD total for 3 nights in... More

Location was great but room was awful. Unfortunately we had to leave due to lack of air and space in the room. There was a heatwave during our visit to Amsterdam and the room became so hot, lack of ventilation, even with the windows open, resulted in the hot air trapped in the room. Open windows meant traffic noise. Because... More

Location is perfect, the area is quiet, calm, safety. Near there are a lot of caffe, restaurants, small shops and big supermarket, maket. Near the stop of tram, but all main sightseeings 5 minutes walking. The room is small, but enough comfortable, very clean. In my single room there was privat shower , and shared toilet. The toilet was always... More

We booked a twin/double room in December 2014. On arrival in July 2015 we were given a room in which the double bed just about managed to squeeze in, once you got two people in there as well you had to plan every move in advance. The room faced the busy main road and tram stop, and had single glazing.... More

Great location - 5 mins walking from Dam Square! Good restaurant just outside the hotel (with vegetarian options). Steep staircase, but we got help with our luggage. Small but cozy room. Very helpful staff - he helped us with city maps, and ways around the main streets. Wifi was bad, but manageable. Great if you are looking for a budget... More

When we arrived we cant imagine how to carry our luggage upstairs since the stairs are quite steep and narrow. The staffs then helped to carry up our luggages. Since we booked family room, its only at first floor. Lucky us. The staffs were extremely good and helpful. They helped us to print out our boarding pass for the next... More

We love the Hotel de Westertoren. We have stayed here 3 different times since 2010, most recently March 2015. The staff is the best, helpful and very customer service oriented. One of the female clerks even helped me get my new tablet changed from the default language, Dutch, to English. We will stay here again and again.

The hotel location is about 5mins from the Dam square. We rented the family room which was clean and is good enough to accommodate 7 adults. But it was in a different style with one side built like a bunk bed. There is only one small size bathroom for the family room. For a family room this size, the price... More
