It was so much fun staying at the B&B Jordaan. It was in a very quiet residential neighbourhood, on a lane with very little motor traffic. From our upstairs window we could see people going to work, taking their children to school, taking the dog out and most always by bicycle - it was wonderful! It was within an easy... More

We loved our stay here. The neighborhood was lovely, great stores and restaurants and the market nearby on Monday. The breakfasts varied and were more then enough for us..and we are pretty big eaters. The room was the garden room and plenty big for us. I loved the press coffee pot and had tea each evening. Charlotte was very helpful... More

B&B Jordaan is perfect in every way! The rooms were beautiful, the breakfasts delicious, and Charlotte's tourist tips invaluable! And then there is the location...perfect! We were traveling with our son's family. The room with the bunkbeds was perfect for the two children and us to share. You can not go wrong with B&B Jordaan!

We were so pleased with our accommodations at B&B JORDAAN. Charlotte provided me with lots of information via email before arriving and we took a recommended taxi from the airport to her front door. Everything was exactly as we had discussed during correspondence. The coffee and breakfast provided each morning were so good and often sustained us until evening. The... More

Plusses: Charlotte is a major help in assisting you to enjoy your Amsterdam experience. From travel directions to arranging a taxi when our taxi failed to show and on and on she was a boon. The location is in a very quiet area but a bit on the edge of the center. The tram is 2-3 minutes walk away. For... More

My cousin and I traveled to Europe recently and our first jumping off point was Amsterdam. We found B&B Jordaan by searching Tripadvisor and it looked suitable for our needs. It turned out to be much more than just suitable; it was an great experience. Charlotte, our innkeeper, was personable and helpful; going beyond expected to make our stay there... More

We stayed here over a long weekend and found Charlotte to be very welcoming and helpful. A very good location if you like it quiet and characterful, it's a really pretty part of Amsterdam. Very near to the Anne Frank House, book tickets online before you go to avoid the v.long queues. Good breakfast - would highly recommend.

We found this B&B in the Jordaan neighborhood to be perfect for our 3 day visit. Our family of 5 fit comfortably in 2 rooms, both of which were bright and sufficiently spacious. Breakfast was perfectly adequate--an assortment of breads, cheeses, sliced meats, coffee, tea and juice. The proprietor, who was actually filling in while the property owner was on... More

My daughter and wife have just come back from Amsterdam and chose to stay here rather than a hotel. Feedback is that the location was excellent - they really liked the Jordaan area which had some great cafes, restaurants and vintage/arty shops. The B&B was quiet, host friendly and helpful and they loved having breakfast in their room which set... More

This is my first time experience of staying with this kind of facility other than hotels. I stayed here for 3 days ( 3-6 April 2014) . Location of the property is really good and all the places of tourist impotence are near by ( 20 -25 Min walk ) . Owner of the property is good and supportive and... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
