Stayed there for a night. Got a 6 twin/bunk bed room, since there were 3 of us. Room was large, bathroom was very clean. No tub. Carpet had some musty smell and rooms weren't sound proof. However, was very centrally located. Close to Heiniken brewery; close to Hop On Hop Off bus/boat stop. Very accessible to Central station via tram.... More

I'm not normally one to moan about hotel rooms as I don't normally care cause I'm hardly ever in it! But Iv never felt so unclean staying in such a place! The halls stunk as soon as you walked in! We were on the top floor of a 5 floor building that had no lift! I would hardly call the... More

Travelled as a couple to Amsterdam for a weekend. Booked at short notice and this hotel was the only one available. We can see why as this place was disgusting. As other people have mentioned, we had to wait until 3pm after arriving early in the morning - hauling a large and heavy suitcase around the area. When we eventually... More

We were meant to be staying for 2 nights booked through booking.com. I informed the desk we would be arriving in the early hours after a 20 hour flight from Sri Lanka and would need somewhere to rest or at least keep our belongings. On arrival the man at the check ou t was impossibly rude, he said 2 wouldn't... More

Dear reader. We were let down twice for accommodation on a 40th birthday and we were desperate. Our room which was 100m down the road from the hotel was extremely basic, just bunk beds. The toilet and shower were fine, although we repositioned the ceiling tiles to provide privacy. As a group of 40+ woman, we made the best of... More

My friend and I spent several days here and I should check its review on TripAdvisor first. Other website did not tell me how bad it is. It's not really a "hotel". Small room, dirty bed cover and towel, and annoying water dripping sound from toilet made our vacation miserable. We always try to spend as much time outside as... More

NIGHTMARE! I've stayed in some shabby hostels so I tend to take reviews with a grain of salt. THESE ARE ALL TRUE! The first room (504) they showed us was on the 5th floor (no lift). It was a dormer room 8ft by 8ft so you couldn't stand up anywhere and we couldn't get our luggage in the room. It... More

I visited Amsterdam last month with friends and we decided to book this hotel because it was "near" the city center. The experience was unexpected, the office isn't in the same place where the hotel is, so you have to go for your key in one building and go to the other to rest in your room. We were in... More

The hotel is very clise to the centre! But it is not a good hotel. It is not enough clean! It is a hostel not a hotel!!! It is my opinion! If you want to go to Amsterdam, choose an expensiver hotel! This hotel is ideal for students, why the pricen is low!

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
