My friend and I spent several days here and I should check its review on TripAdvisor first. Other website did not tell me how bad it is. It's not really a "hotel". Small room, dirty bed cover and towel, and annoying water dripping sound from toilet made our vacation miserable. We always try to spend as much time outside as... More

NIGHTMARE! I've stayed in some shabby hostels so I tend to take reviews with a grain of salt. THESE ARE ALL TRUE! The first room (504) they showed us was on the 5th floor (no lift). It was a dormer room 8ft by 8ft so you couldn't stand up anywhere and we couldn't get our luggage in the room. It... More

I visited Amsterdam last month with friends and we decided to book this hotel because it was "near" the city center. The experience was unexpected, the office isn't in the same place where the hotel is, so you have to go for your key in one building and go to the other to rest in your room. We were in... More

The hotel is very clise to the centre! But it is not a good hotel. It is not enough clean! It is a hostel not a hotel!!! It is my opinion! If you want to go to Amsterdam, choose an expensiver hotel! This hotel is ideal for students, why the pricen is low!

I am a young backpacker traveller who has stayed in my fair share of 'under average' hotels but this place is just RIDICULOUS! Firstly, the whole WINDOW CAME OFF its hinges just seconds after lying under it, on the bed. It was lucky that it didnt seriously hurt either of us. Also, we moved the beds so it was under... More

Me and my buddy turned up to this hotel to be greeted by a rude staff member who told us because we was young we would automatically be put onto the top floor!! The stairs is crazy! Dirty filthy! Is this a hotel or a hostel? No Lift, beds uncomfortable

I do not even know where to start here. Without a doubt the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When I booked, I was not expecting The Ritz, but I was expecting something at least half-decent because the room had worked out at over 100 euros a night, and the photos of the rooms online looked pretty good. When I... More

This is the kind of place you turn up at and hope it's the wrong address. Has the air of illegal activity about it, there were obvious fist holes in the walls of our room. As you walk in the door (which is a completely different building to the one you check in at) you are welcomed by the sweet... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
