Great location with friendly staff (with one exception). Room was very cramped and a poor shape, bathroom had only one tiny glass shelf, which was well above head height. There was nowhere to set out personal items. Breakfast was a dictatorship. When asked if we enjoyed breakfast, I replied that I had, but that I would have preferred some choice.... more

I selected this hotel for its excellent location (next to the Central train station) and having believed good reviews on the trip advisor. God how wrong I was! Although the room was cleaned, there was permanent dirt all over the place: carpet, walls, hotel info book. My bed sheets had holes in them, and there were remainders of someones food... more

I had planned on spending longer in Amsterdam on this trip but, when researching , I found Amsterdam hotel rooms to be relatively overpriced and lower in standard to other European cities I visited, such as Bern, Berlin and Innsbruck. Small, modern hotel close to main train station and shopping district. Only minus points: no free parking (paid 50 Euros for 24 hrs. in a public park garage!) and street noise... street car tracks directly in front of the hotel. more

Excellent location right across the street from Centraal station. Rooms are small, but has all the basics and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom shower doesn't have a ledge so the water can run all through the bathroom floor if you're not careful. Good water pressure and hot. I booked this hotel based on reviews I read here. The location is EXCELLENT... across the street from Centraal Station. The hotel was comfortable but I had problems with it. There are plenty of places in Amsterdam where you pay a whole lot more and get a whole lot less. Rooms are newly renovated, are clean, moffer everything you need expect space! Spent 5 nights here. Staff very helpful. Breakfast ok--staff friendly. Best feature was the hotel is 'toss of the stone' to train station and visitor information center. I used an I Amsterdam pass to museums and for public transportation. I highly recommend it. Allows you to enter shorter lines. Takes worry out of transportation. Many of the tram lines originate... more
