What a unique experience? We literally lived centemeters above the surface of the Prinsengraat Canal in a cosy and clean house boat for two nights and two days. Being very central to most attractions of Amsterdam and close to coffee shops, delis and bars helped us spend our short stay efficiently. While central, the location was very peaceful when needed... I stayed aboard the prinsenboat in September 2006. You will definitly not regret staying on the prinsenboat! The interior is very nice and even has an Internet connection. The boat is close to ground central with respect to Amsterdam "things to do" and night life. I especially enjoyed the friendly nature of the owner (peter) and waving to the other... More

My wife and I stayed on the Prisenboat for 5 nights in late June. Peter is a terrific host. I managed to fracture a tooth on the flight to Amsterdam. Upon arrival Peter contacted a dentist, made an appointment, drove me to the dentist, waited while the tooth was filled, and drove me back to the boat! The boat is... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in July 2006 as a mid-week birthday getaway. Peter is a great host, very friendly and knows a lot about the area; and was able to give us a early check-in and a late check-out :-) The location is great, with everything in walking distance, bars cafe's, shops etc. Peter had... I stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights in June. Peter is a great host, and the boat itself is beautiful. It's located in a wonderful neighborhood-- lots of shops and markets and tucked in a quiet canal. You can do some of your own cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, or just wake up to enjoy Peter's food... More

My family (2 adults 2 boys) stayed here for 3 nights in May 2006. We booked this houseboat based on reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed in any way. We highly recommend this houseboat. The fridge came stocked with a dozen eggs, 2 types of juice, cheese, ham, 2 loaves of bread, breakfast cereal, tea and coffee and... More

On my arrival to the boat Peter, the owner, was waiting for me. I found him to be very kind and fun. He showed me all the facilities and how they worked. The kitchen was stocked with enough fresh food that I really didn’t have to eat any where else and there was wine as well. The boat is beautiful.... More

We are a group of four friends on our post-graduation from university trip. We had been traveling for almost 6 weeks already and wanted to end our trip off with something comfortable and luxurious which just happened to be the Prinsenboat. We were late on our arrival by 4 hours, but Michael kindly left us a lovely welcome note and... More

We had a great to Amsterdam. The biggest part of which was the stay on The prinsenboat. We litterly came alife again on the houseboat. Right in the centre of everything, though full of peace and harmony. Great interior. See the pictures, they speak for themselves John Smith

Coming from England my wife and I were looking for accomodation in the heart of Amsterdam. Set on an Amsterdam canal, Prinsenboat reconciled easy access to museums and nightlife with stylish decor and generous amenities. Pete, the friendly owner welcomes guests with a fridge daily stocked for breakfast and great advice on the metropolois. He told us that much of... More
