My long distance boyfriend and I were meeting up in Amsterdam, and we wanted to stay somewhere unique. The boat itself was amazing...Good location, close enough to everything but still not a terribly busy street. The bed was fantastic, the kitchen was nice, it had everything you would need for a nice, relaxing stay. The owner was very nice and... More

We stayed on the Prinsenboat for five nights with our two children, ages 4 and 6. The houseboat was exceptionally located, very spacious, well equipped and great value. We could explore Amsterdam from this central locale, well supplied with a supermarket around the corner and trams 50m away. The kids loved feeding the ducks, and got a kick out of... More

We were hoping our decision to choose a houseboat instead of an apartment overlooking a canal would be the right one, and it was! Peter was waiting for us on our arrival at the houseboat, despite the fact we had been delayed for more than an hour in getting there. He made us feel comfortable from the outset. We arrived... More

For the four of us, it was the first time we stayed on a houseboat. And we enjoyed it very much. No sea-sickness, we slept like babies ! The boat is very nice arranged and the kitchen well-equipped. The couch is too small to two adults sleep on, but it would be enough for two children. The king-size-bed is a... More

A much better idea for families than a cramped hotel room. The houseboat has the added attraction of being able to feed the canal birds from the window and wave at passing tourists. Peter welcomed us to the boat and was helpful with suggestions of what was available nearby. We enjoyed a day at Artis zoo and a day at... More

My friend and I stayed on the houseboat for a week in November 2010. It was great to have the privacy of a house and we really enjoyed the comfy bed. The location is perfect, close to everything from restaurants to museums. It is close to the Marqt as well so we could get groceries. Also a short walk to... More

close to all you feel like you are a local. 5 minutes to shopping street have stayed here four times and just booked for another two weeks in 2011. Peter the host is always adding new touches to make his guests more comfortable. Sitting behind the big windows watching the canal traffic while reading or doing e-mail is a pleasant... More

We had an absolute fabulous stay at The Prinsenboat. Being on the most beautiful canal of Amsterdam we were really in the middle of everything. We experienced how the locals passed by with their little boats. Some really extravagant. All the interesting sites were in walking distance. The kids loved everything! And the swans and ducks passing by asking to... More

I rented the boat for my sister and her friends so they could experience Queen's day on the Prinsengracht, always a unique experience. Peter is a really nice guy and easy to deal with. The boat is on a perfect spot in Amsterdam, very near Waterlooplein, the Carre, the Hermitage, Rembrandtsplein and Museum square. Nothing is every really far, but... More

We stayed on the Prinsenboat for a couple of nights in October. Like all other reviewers we found it to be a great experience. Peter, the owner was easy to deal with. He doesn't take credit cards so we paid a deposit with Paypal and the rest in cash on arrival. You'll probably find a bottle of wine to welcome... More
