Stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights . The location is not centre but reachable by trams, the journey from central station is about 15-20 minutes . i'd booked for a single and i found a very small room next to the reception with a separate bathroom. So to reach the bathroom i was forced to go out of the... more

This is a lovely hotel located a short 15 minute tram ride from the centre (no.25) and was easy to find as the tram stops right outside it! The hotel itself is immaculately clean; the rooms are large with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of breads, meats, cheese, muffins, cereal and fresh... more

We booked this hotel for Queens day because everything else was already full which says a lot. The receptionist was not particularly friendly just fairly nonchalent. We wee give a room on the top floor. Unfortunately the hotel has no lift and samll stairs so it is a struggle. The room was awful, vey dated and unwelcoming but worst of... more

I have just returned from Amsterdam with my 9-year-old grandson. I booked 2 nights at the Sarphati Hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. On the first day we arrrived at the hotel early and asked if we could leave our cases. We then went to the zoo and arrived back at the hotel late afternoon. When they went to... more

It could be OK unless they gave us for the 1st night a single room ( the smallest I've ever seen ) instead of a double that we booked and charged us the same price. One month later they charged me with 100 Euro extra cost without any explanations. Unfortunately I realised it too late to have the money back... more

We could not have been happier with this hotel! We found the owner and staff were very friendly, helpful and always nearby, and the hotel was immaculately clean. Breakfast was 'continental', and although we were advised it would be served between 8 and 10 A.M, we were able to still have breakfast when we woke up late at 11. The... more

We loved our stay at Sarphati hotel Amsterdam, the Netherlands; hotel is childfriendly ( we are a family with young kids), clean tidy room with a balcony, clean beds, large bathroom, and not to forget the full breakfast! The kids loved the fruit! As the tram stops in front we could go anywhere, we went to the zoo. The area... more

This is a great value Hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are fairly basic, but as a base for a break in Amsterdam it is ideal. The breakfast was fine, although the coffee machine was yuk! The position is a little way out but the tram is outside the door and the area is quiet. We found a lovely area... more
