I love Amsterdam, and I really love this B&B. I've stayed there twice and I'd recommend it to anyone. Irene, who owns and runs it and lives in the flat downstairs, is so friendly and helpful. The rooms – there are three, but only two currently in use – are gorgeously (and uniquely!) decorated, and have a fabulous view of... More

The comfort and warmth of this B&B is entirely matched by the hospitality and amiable demeanor of Irene, the hostess. A wonderfully preserved old Dutch house, at a very convenient location (about 10-15 tram minutes from the Central Station), and a room with an authentically welcoming ambiance. A kitchen well equipped and a welcoming feel which the Dutch are masters... More

A cosy, friendly B&B located between the De Pijp district and the museum quarter. The Rijksmuseum is just a short stroll away as is the Heineken Experience and the Albert Cuypstraat market. The city centre is just a 10 minute tram ride away. The B&B just has a couple of rooms so has a quiet but friendly atmosphere. As with... More

A friend of mine and i stayed in this B&B during May. The location was really good, you could walk almost everywhere, or at least we did. The owner of the place is a very kind and nice person, she gave us a map and told us what to visit. To arrive to the room we had to walk steep... More

In September my hubby and I stayed again in this lovely B&B for a long weekend. Hosts Irene & Ebo are very welcoming (you feel at home in an instant) and very helpful with tips and tricks where to go and how and when (important!) to go there. Room is very cosy and clean, good bed with wonderful pillows. Nice... More

Irene and Art are Amazing hosts. The room is spacious with a very nice view of canal activity. The location is ideal for an easy walk to the local street market and many Amsterdam attractions. I will recommend this.

Where shall I start , the very warm welcome of Irene. The great room with excellent beds. The kitchen which you can use to make your own breakfast. The location is perfect , just around the corner of the van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. But the most impressive was the host Irene , she made our stay unforgettable. She knew... More

The location is great, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to museums, shopping, transport and other attractions close to the heart of Amsterdam. The room was very comfortable with a great view of the canal and museums on the other side. All in all a wonderful choice for our last few nights in the Netherlands.

For affordability, hospitality and position this is the place to stay. Security is very good and room is comfortable, good size with a large fridge. Irene will assist you if required and we found her to be very knowledgeable and speaking very good English. One drawback is negotiating the narrow staircase up three flights carrying heavy suitcases, so be aware.

We really must thank Irene for a lovely stay. Staying at Between Art & Kitsch meant that we could stay almost next to the Rijksmuseum in a very trendy part of Amsterdam for 100 Euros per night. We were only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Amsterdam and the price included a well stocked kitchen to make your... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
