I had a lovely stay at Stout & Co. The accommodation consists of 5 or so stylish small apartments above a creative design company's studio. The staff are very welcoming and were quick to grab a map and help you plan your trip. There is a brewery nearby for example that we visited that we wouldn't have known about otherwise.... More

What a fantastic boutique hotel! Unfortunately we only stayed here for 1 night but we absolutely loved every minute of our stay. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and his assistant who gave us tons of useful info on where to go and the best places to find good food. Our room was beautifully decorated whit every amenity you... More

Highly recommend this place in Amsterdam. First time I've visited the city and the owners/staff couldn't do anymore to help us. Very clean and modern. The rooms are a brilliant size with great amenities. Throughly enjoyed a weekend stay at Stout & Co.

We arrived in Amsterdam early in the morning after a 10 hour flight. Not only did they allow us to drop off bags but they let us check in before 10 am!! It was a Friday and the room had been open and free from the day before. It really helped us to take a shower and nap. They gave... More

We were only here 1 night, but Stout and Co. is the place to stay. The beds were the most comfortable of our entire European trip. The shower is cool. It's a walk in shower with a waterfall shower head. There is a cute little patio area outside the rooms. Unfortunately we weren't there long enough to enjoy it. Breakfast... More

This is an outstanding place to stay. Perfectly located in a residential area that is within easy access by bus from the Central Station. The clean, modern architecture and interior design is welcoming and extremely comfortable. The bed and linens, not mention the wonderful AESOP products were so luxurious. Breakfast and conversation with Arienne are both outstanding. A remarkable place... More

My wife and I stayed at Stout & Co for 3 nights. The website gives a good impression of the Hotel/B&B and the pictures are fair. Make sure you have a look at some of the other pictures other guests uploaded. The design of the place is really fun and cool - lot's of great details. We also liked: -... More

This hotel is a must! From start to finish perfection was achieved. Around 20 mins the the centre, Airleen who worked there helped with everything we needed without even asking. It was faultless and in a great location with a wonderful terrace area (great for a morning coffee) the design of the building and decor is out of this world.... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
