We had a nice stay at Aalborg Hotel with my three friends during our stay in Amsterdam. The room was clean, and there was enough space for four people! The bathroom was also clean and the whole room was cleaned every day. The staff was also really nice to us, and always answered if we had something to ask! A... More

The room was excellent - clean, nicely furnished, well heated, comfy beds. The location is top notch - two or so miles from the very centre, so it's a little quieter and less full on, and it's a minute walk from a very regular ten-minute tram into centre. Our room was first floor facing the street, but was still quiet... More

Perfect for a cheap getaway! The hotel is located just 20 minutes (on foot) outside the main city centre in a very lovely area - you can even rent a bike (€15 per day) for the full Amsterdam experience and reach the centre in 5 minutes. Trams and buses are also nearby. I would personally suggest a taxi to travel... More

I had a very good experience during my stay in this hotel. Even though it is not really in the center it's a very good location if you want to go walking the Museum Square of the city. It's also nearby Heineken Experience and to the longest market in Europe. The atmosphere in the hotel was also very friendly, in... More

A short trip for work where we wanted to be in a nice and convenient location to go out but also to be able to get to the office easily. The older rooms are quite out-dates and need a good boost but they are clean and fit for purpose. The small rooms are just that: small but again, fit for... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Aalborg. The staff were welcoming and helpful - suggesting places we should try and ways that we should get around. The room was clean and had everything we needed, we all agreed that the beds were some of the comfiest that we have found in a hotel - EVER! The hotel was situated... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
