Just back from a long weekend staying at this hotel, we were on the 7th floor and had a lovely large room over looking the canal which was bliss. One side of the room was just all glass floor to ceiling windows and the views were excellent. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and as the hotel was so... More

A very good hotel with pleasant service. Clean tidy with nice view over a canal. Free wifi in your room was very useful. The only slight negative was a 30min walk to the centre. The rooms are comfortable and a good size with good amenities although a little dated by old CRT tv.

I stayed just one night in this hotel, before embarking for a cruise in Amsterdam. I had a room with canal view, which is quite wonderful. This is not a very large hotel, situated in a quiet part of the city, not far from main attractions. The room was large and clean but it needed a little updating (the carpet... More

I've stayed at NH Museum Quarter Hotel for two nights (from 29th to 31st of August). Initially I had some problems finding the hotel because, similar to what happen in the other NH Hotel that I've stayed in Brussels, that map that comes with the reservation it's not very helpful since it only shows the street above and bellow the... We had a top floor room overlooking the canal, which was pretty. The room was large and clean. The hotel staff were friendly. Location was great as it was quiet, next to the canal and we were able to walk everywhere. It took us about 15-20mins to walk to the centre so we didn't use the tram, although that is... More

The hotel suited our purpose, but little improvements could lead to a higher rating. Only two pillows, plus one spare; only two teabags per day. Breakfast was offered at 20 euros per day when breakfast deals at 7 or 8 euros were on offer within walking distance. The hotel lacked atmosphere, not least because the routs from entrnace to stairs... More

Stayed at the NHL Museum Hotel for 3 nights and found it really good and convenient. It was less than 5 minutes walk to the tram stop, take a 16 or 24 tram to the city centre. We didn't eat there so can't rate the breakfast instead we walked 2 blocks and at breakfast at the Bagel and Beans. Highly... More

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The room was very well equipped: with safe, kettle, iron, empty fridge to keep your stuff and free Wifi (recently established). The bathroom was big and the room had plenty of space to move on, with lots of towels. We were on the last floor and had a very good view. The room was... More

We enjoyed many aspects of this hotel - location, in room refrigerator and coffee/tea service but were disappointed in the cleaning of the room - not vacuumed, coffee not replenished. However we were most surprised to receive an additional bill after we paid in full online. We were charged a daily city tax PLUS an addition 20 euros for some... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
