Had the Pleasure of a suite on first floor. Delayed check in 15:30 due to room not being made up by service. Luggage was taken and vouchers for bar issued by the kind ladies at reception. Immediately taken aback by the wonderful surroundings and ambiance of the hotel. Great staff, very pleasant and very helpful just like most people from... More

We visited this hotel for a weekend in May, the location is brilliant, directly opposite the train station which was ideal, only a short walk to damn square and the canals. The hotel itself was immaculate, clean, tidy, modern, staff were brilliant, polite and friendly. The room was spacious, again very clean and modern, and a perfect coffee maker (no... More

Its across from Central Station. Very easy to walk to even if you have luggage. The reception area is the first clue that this is a trendy hotel. There is no large reception desk, instead the individual staff are standing at large, red podiums. My room was very large for Europe and had a huge bathroom with separate WC and... More

The hotel is very well located. The decoration is ultra modern. The elevator is very dark, but this is not a problem. The restaurant is very good, the servers are very polite and quick, but the supply management needs improvement. The first night we had tiger prawns that were just the best. The following night they had run out. For... More

Stayed 4 nights.. Other reviews prepared me for the art vive. But I found it much more. Welcoming from the minute we walked in the door.Large room by any standard. But a cautionary tale. If you don't like the ultra modern you may not appreciate this hotel. However It has other excellent points___Location, service, food.all going for it. The pitch black... More

The staff make this hotel fantastic! Nothing is too big or too small for their undivided attention. The rooms are comfortable with all expected amenities. Some of the art displayed around the hotel offended guests by the comments I overheard. The restaurant gets noisy at night but has a wonderful vibe.

staff were very helpful and can't fault service. Hotel even though close to station just 3 mins walk it was difficult to find because it's sign is small. Rooms were good, well equipped. They had a great walk in shower, large comfy bed and plenty of room. Struggled with coffee machine but soon received help. The mirror to the bathroom... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
