After traveling through Europe for 10 weeks this was our last stop before heading home to Australia. A perfect way to end our trip - amazing & friendly service from all the staff, modern & clean rooms and all round great facilities. Italian restaurant was surprising good and portions were huge. Best hotel we stayed during our time in Europe

Artsy hotel on entering, but not in an over the top kind of way, nicely done, you can walk around and appreciate the details. Rooms were large, bathrooms very open, but not uncomfortable. Good tea and coffee making facilities in the room, room service comes at an extra charge, which I don't really agree with (5 Eur for delivery to... More

Paid a little extra for upgrade to a suite. Great decision. Beautiful room overlooking Centarl Station and the City. Great staff. Everything you need in Amstredam is just a short waly away. Coffee shops too.

We stayed here one night before heading off to Belgium by train and chose the hotel largely based on its convenient location (the neighborhood is perhaps not the best but okay). Now I would stay here again based on the quality of the accommodations. The hotel is chic and airy and the furnishings are simply spot on. Our room was... More

I'm just back from a trip to Amsterdam and we spent 3 nights here. It is very central which is fantastic. I had a lovely welcome, the lady at reception was great going over things to see and she noticed it was my birthday and sent champagne and strawberries up to our room. However for the price I thought the... More

There are tons of hotels in amsterdam. This one is above average. Staff seems friendly enough. The art scattered around might not be your taste but it makes this hotel less cookie cutter. The breakfast is well done with made to order entrees and continental buffet spread. I thought the location might be too busy, being in front of the... More

We chose this hotel as we had visited the park plaza group hotels many times before. It is very trendy and would best suit young visitors. The good...... The rooms are great and elemis toiletries are a treat. We opted for a 4th floor quiet room - it was perfect. The staff are really lovely too and try to help... More

Right opposite the train station. Asked for a quiet room, and they gave me one. Asked for early check in after a 13 hours flight, and they gave it to me. They try to accommodate, which is a nice feeling. The decor is funky. And I like it. I like the touches they made to the room. All in, I... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
