negative points about this hotel as follows: 1-check in was very late and staff was not professional ( although we informed the hotel about our arrival time 2 days ago , the manager said that he didn't read the messages before ,and said that our room would be ready at 3.00 p.m) 2-there is no telephone in the rooms,so if... My wife and I have just returned from 3 days at this hotel. Not as central to Amsterdam as I would have liked ( my fault not the hotels) but on a good tran route into the city centre. Taxi's in the region of 14 euros. A lovely hotel, the rear of which opens onto the canal,no lifts as it... More

This will become a great hotel, but there is some learning to be done. It's in a great location near big museums, and with funky Utrechtstraat round the corner. The decor is quite charming. The quality of the food at breakfast is outstanding. Great wifi. Comfortable beds. High quality toiletries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there are many... More

We had a great stay. No complaints really, staff was nice and room was great. Bed was sooo comfortable, but the pillows could have been better and breakfast was good but not amazing. Location was Best in Amsterdam for a 30-something couple who likes nice area and good shopping and excellent food. Not close to red light. I would stay... More

I was immediately greeted by a very helpful desk guy that showed me to my room personally, and also helped me carry my luggage which doesnt happen a lot these days. My room was amazing, and the quality of the decor and furnishings is top notch. I really enjoyed my time here, and would certainly stay again. The breakfast could... More

Very central indeed BUT maybe alittle over priced for what you get. Bar is lovely but alittle quiet at times and mainley older people knocking about. Great views from the windows. All in all a nice Hotel - Nothing bad or no regrets regarding this hotel

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with other family members for a total of three nights during a recent trip to Europe. There were some things we enjoyed very much, but there were also some problems. I had made reservations 8 months in advance for two ground floor rooms, and had confirmed the reservations in writing the week... More

We stayed here May 19-21,2014 and were in room #2 which is just off the lobby on the street side. The weather was very warm and as mentioned before there is no individual control of thermostat. That combined with the fact that the hotel was not even able to provide any ice for cold drinks was pretty disappointing. (Note -I... More

Really enjoyed staying here with a friend with a few minor exceptions. First, the new wing is very modern and overlooks the canal. But this modern aesthetic does have one major drawback -- the bathroom is actually glassed in and is only frosted in the middle, so if you're traveling with anyone but your spouse or partner this may become... The Amsterdam Canal Hotel is a beautiful property located in walking distance to pretty much everything. We had a beautiful room on the fourth floor which looked over a canal, was bright, modern and impeccably clean. The room also had a wonderful bathroom with all the amenities as well a mini-fridge (with complimentary drinks and snacks) that came in quite... More
