Stayed here for four nights in late May. Accommodation proved to be superb and the best I have found in Amsterdam outside of a top hotel. Odette was a most helpful hostess who ensured that I had a most comfortable stay. She provided useful information about local facilities (restaurants etc) and was always available. My room was a good size... More

We booked a five night stay at B & B Helmers online based on location & reviews. We were met by Odette & Fons on our arrival and were very happy with our clean & neat room. Fons sent up our wifi connection & gave us all the advice we needed for our four day tram ticket and train directions... More

My partner and I stayed here for 3 days, the location is perfect, not to far away from places of interest but far enough to be out of typical tourist Amsterdam. We had a lovely time, Odette prepared us a lovely breakfast each morning, she was very helpful organising our dinner arrangements. All-in-all, we had a lovely time, and the... More

Excellent small and comfortable B&B!! Odette has a genuine interest in people and eye for details. Her personal touch is what distinguishes her from many standard B&B's. Located is excellent and less than 10 minutes from the Leidseplein. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay a couple of nights, Odette, thanks very much in making me feel... More

Great location, close to the city centre, good tram connection to CS and to other city highlights. Rooms are bright, newly renovated, wonderful view on Amsterdam's roofs. Breakfast is very good, freshly prepared every morning by the nice lady of the house. It is a shame bathroom is shared with other 3 rooms, and although this has never been a... More

I stumbled upon B&B Helmers by chance but I was certainly not disappointed. Odette was very helpful prior to our arrival and certainly provided a personal touch - far more than if you were staying at a hotel. On arrival we were very impressed by the room, facilities and also the fact that there was a kitchen that we could... More

Odette has figured everything out for her brand new B&B - for my first time to Amst. it was perfect, so comfortable and well-thought-out. Odette gave me such a thorough introduction to the city with maps and tips. The room was tiny (fine, since i was alone) but so cozy and fully outfitted with everything you could want, from a... I normally never use B&Bs for business trips but this time I had a reason, the place was recommended as being excellent and I looked for a place closer to the city centre than the hotel I normally stay in. I will come back! Perfect breakfast, very nice host who is willing to help and provide recommendations. The rooms a... More

After searching high and low for a family friendly place to stay at while visiting Amsterdam, I stumbled across Helmers B&B. Her punctual response was what originally sold me on choosing Helmers B&B. After talking back and forth before arriving, we were given lots of excellent additional information for our vacation. Once we arrived, our family was not disappointed at... More

Our family of 3 stayed 3 nights. Our 13 year old stayed in his own room next to ours so we had much needed privacy. Odette is a wonderful host, informative about the area, meticulously clean & super friendly. Her dutch breakfasts were a daily highlight. We had our own fully stocked brand new kitchen. we found this property really... More
