This hotel was absolutely beautiful! The decor was amazing and so colourful! Bed was super comfy, only thing was that it was two single beds pushed together and we kept falling in between them aha! Breakfast was perfect for me, very light yet filling. My boyfriend however struggled with breakfast as not a big selection to choose from and he's... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here in January 2016. The hotel is perfectly located, 10 minute walk from Central Station and 10 minutes from the Red Light District, Dam Square and the shopping on Kalverstraat. The hotel is modern and the staff are very friendly. We stayed for 4 nights and realy enjoyed it. The room was clean and warm... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. This was a last minute booking. Before staying here I was nervous as I usually stay a chain hotels around the world. However this two day trip was a adventure for the two of us and decided to try something different. So glad we did!!! Upon arriving we felt... More

My wife and some friend spent a long weekend in Amsterdam. After searching a few options we settled on the City Hotel Amsterdam. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The hotel is well within walking distance of the train station and after being there a few days it is well within walking distance of many Amsterdam attractions. The breakfast... More

Really enjoyed staying here. Staff were friendly. I really like the modern bright style of the hotel and it's close location to the station and rest of the city is great. A fantastic quality 3 star hotel. Also, the breakfast was more than adequate: teas, coffees, juice, milk, water, bread, rolls, croissants, pan au chocolat, hams, meat, cheese, jams, marmalades,... I chose this hotel as the cheapest on offer, which is the Amsterdam equivalent of saying that Augusto Pinochet was a liberal democrat when compared to Hitler, Stalin and Attila the Hun. The hotel looks decent until you take a closer look but it has some significant downsides. I was placed in a room at the very top of the... More

Really nice, clean newly decorated hotel which was very good value for money and conveniently situated. Staff very nice. Only problem for us were the other guests - what a load of noisy trashy chavs - for one evening.

The Hotel might not be all that near the Railway Station, if you were carrying a heavy bag (including your not so light laptop!) as the cobble stoned pathway is not the easiest to tread with the strollies! The reception lady is very helpful with all that you may wish to know & special requests for your stay. The Hotel... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
