Hosts, Chris and David, were extremely gracious. The self-serve breakfast option was very complete, including the ability to cook your own breakfast your way. The breakfast hours were generous, and they were very flexible when we had early morning events prior to the regular hours. Our room was spacious; well laid out with a table and 2 chairs plus a... My husband and I have just returned home after a 2 night break in "The Tulip of Amsterdam" This B&B is a little Gem, its very central and close enough to the station. The owners Chris and Dave are just so welcoming and you really feel like you are at home.. The bedroom we stayed in was on the second... More

I have never wrote reviews for any hotels that I have been too but I honestly think this deserves one. The b&b isn't sign posted well so make sure you look for the little sign in the window! This is such a cute place to stay, central location and walking distance to pretty much everything. The beds are SO comfy... More

Lovely B&B in the centre of Amsterdam ideally located for the all the tourist attractions, bars, clubs and restaurants. Got a wonderful warm welcome from our hostess Nikki who showed us how to find all the attractions and where to go. The room was very nice, spacious and had all the amenities you could ever require plus welcome treats and... More

Tulip of Amsterdam is an amazing B&B and a true gem in the heart of Amsterdam. I spent 6 days here with a colleague on business and it was the perfect base and really felt like a home away from home. If you are looking for a central base to explore Amsterdam than this is it - you are a... More

Yes, the hotel is more for those that are interested in the night life and the "movida" but it offers everything that one could desire. The owners/managers are hospitable, polite and literally center their days and lives around their guests and the hotel. The hotel is nice quiet and offers the feeling of being at home or to your brother's.... More

My partner and I were celebrating his birthday in Amsterdam for 3 days. I really wanted it to be very special, so I looked for a quiet, cute, cosy, comfortable and well located place in the city. Well, if you are looking for this and you wish to feel like the most special guest in the B&B, then you need... More

We spent two nights at Tulip of Amsterdam and what a treat it was. Our room was quaint and at the top of the house up an old spiral staircase. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Chris and David are delightful and did everything to make our stay memorable. The breakfast was self service with so many... More

My partner and I stayed here in August this year for 2 nights. We arrived late on our first night due to train trouble (which was a Saturday night as well) and I rang the host who was very understanding and accommodating and waited for us. Our room was perfect and had a view of the canal. It was decorated... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this very cosy, comfortable and clean B&B. David and Chris are friendly, flexible and knowledgable and made our stay perfect. Breakfast is great and on a self-service basis.

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
