Just back from a fabulous short-break, greatly enhanced by excellent accommodation at this fine establishment! We were a group of 4 staying in the "back-house" which we effectively had to ourselves - it was quiet, private and quirky in a very, very nice way. The "back-house" consists of 3 floors; the ground floor being the breakfasting/kitchen area and the first... More

This was our first trip to Amsterdam and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We stayed in the studio room which was perfectly clean, well maintained, and well furnished. The swan shaped towels were the perfect touch and made us feel very welcome! The room was stocked with snacks, coffee, and bottled water, which was a wonderful... More

It was a pleasure to stay in a traditional Dutch canal-side hotel rather than in one of the glitzy world-wide hotel chains. On arrival, David sat with us to run through the places of interest, all of which were easily walk-able from the Tulip. Then on to our room, spotlessly clean and traditionally furnished, where a bottle of wine awaited... More

Having visited this B&B some years ago, it was a must to return and see the changes the new owners, David and Chris, have made. We received a very warm welcome from both David and Chris and the cat, Loytje, who spends most of his time snoozing in the window but gets up to receive guests! The rooms are clean... More

Our first trip to Amsterdam & we loved it! The accommodation is in an excellent position which allows you to walk everywhere. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great as you had so much choice. Would go there again & will recommend.

The owners David and Chris were very helpful and welcoming. Their pet cat looks evil but is very friendly as well. Great location. Room was clean and very comfortable. Well stocked breakfast kitchen. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam and will definitely be staying again. Thank you David and Chris.

The BnB was charming and very central location wise. Perfect and caring hosts (including Loytje the cat). Room and kitchen facilities were lovely and clean. Complementary bottle of wine, juice, water, tea and coffee. Ornately presented towels - swans were fantastic Chris! In the kitchen you can help yourself to cold buffet or do yourself a nice omelette with all... More

Excellent all round stay. Chris and David were welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts throughout our stay. Highly recommended. Right in the middle of the action. Easy to walk any where within inner and outer canal ring. Graham & Debra

I usually prefer hotels over B&Bs but this experience might just change my future bookings! Let's start off with two reasons you probably should not book Tulip of Amsterdam: - The B&B is located just next to the Red Light District. While the area seemed extremely safe and not at all dodgy, the more conservative guests might feel a bit... More
