This review is for the Little Tulip apartment which is managed by the Tulip of Amsterdam B&B but is a separate self-catering apartment. The website makes it clear that this isn't part of the B&B and doesn't include breakfast, but judging by some of the previous reviews, some people missed that information, so make sure you know what you're booking.... Well... when we booked this B&B it sounded great and .... we were certainly not dissapointed. We were welcomed by Chris who gave us information about Tulip and Amstedam.... and then carried our heavy bag up to our room! The description warns everyone about the stairs and we knew our bedroom was two flights up but we were pleasantly surprised...... More

It was our second stay at Tulip and it was a no brainer where we would stay after we loved it so much back in September last year. I wasn't an exaggeration when I said we would never stay anywhere else in Amsterdam as long as Chris and David run their Tulip of Amsterdam B&B. We really have the feeling... More

A Lovely place to stay when visiting Amsterdam. Ideally located, so most places are within walking distance. The welcome is warm and please do check out the marketing director. My room was cute and I mean that in the nicest possible way...in short when visiting Amsterdam why not stay here instead of a hotel

It's been a long time since visiting Amsterdam and even longer since I've experienced such a genuinely warm welcome and fantastic service at a B&B thanks to David & Chris, the owners. They were always around to see if we needed anything for the room or information for sightseeing. It was the first time to Amsterdam for my wife and... More

We just came back from Amsterdam where we stayed in the Tulip of Amsterdam B&B. We chose to stay there mostly because of the very good reviews that we read on Trip Advisor. The reviews proved to be true and then some! The location is very central and you find yourself in walking distance of every attraction and museum in... More

We stayed in the B&B at the beginning of June and we were welcomed by Chris who is a great guy. He gave us a map and recommended lots of places for us to visit and he gave us cards for the restaurant Café Piazza which is next door but one. The card entitles you to a free drink, and... More

Chose the Tulip for our 3 night stay in Amsterdam for its central location and favourable TA reviews. Booked on line with the B & B. We arrived at 9 AM and stored our luggage. Chris and David were excellent source of local info and off we went sightseeing until the 2 PM check-in time. Four of us booked the... More

We stayed at the Jordaan View Apartment. It is not located within the Tulip B&B (but rather in the Jordaan neighborhood), but is related to the Tulip and can be booked through their website. The apartment was extremely clean, well furnished, with modern appliances. Coffee maker. Teapot. Stovetop. Dish washer. Refrigerator. Great bathroom. Great bedroom. Amazing view onto the canal.... Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
