We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights at the beginning of January and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who enjoys luxurious furnishings, attentive and curteous staff and a superb location. We stayed in the Schubert Suite overlooking the canal and found the hotel ideally situated for the many attractions and walks close by. The staff were able... More

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Seven One Seven! Our suite (the Tolkien suite) was beautifully appointed, spacious and very romantic. The hotel has been decorated with beautiful antiques and art, but it certainly is not over-the-top or imposing, but rather very personalized and welcoming. It almost felt like being at home, especially when we enjoyed great wines... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights over a weekend. The hotel is located within walking distance of the centre of the city, Anne Frank House and the museums. There are lovely restaurants nearby and the hotel was very good at making recommendations and reservations for us. The communal areas in the hotel are beautifully furnished and the... More

My wife and I stayed at 717 for 6 nights while attending Amsterdam Marathon. It was a very good choice. The hotel has an excellent location and one can walk around to very nice places. Room is quite spacious, good resting area and bathroom as well. My only observation was the location of the bed (close to the door) which... More

This was our first time in Amsterdam and we had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Seven One Seven. Our suite - the Schubert Suite - was very spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated with a lounge area and five large windows overlooking the hustle and bustle of the canal. Full of old world luxury, it was a pleasure to spend... More

Spent a very enjoyable 3 nights here in this beautifully renovated canal house, staying in the Room at the Top. The reception we received was very courteous and friendly with staff being helpful at all times. Our room was luxuriously appointed with a hugely comfortable bed and sitting area, windows at both ends to make it light and airy with lovely... More

We had spent a lot of time researching a really special hotel to stay at in Amsterdam, but damp smelling towels and bed linen, tired bathroom with cracked wash-handbasin, spider's web and the extractor ducting hanging 10 inches from the ceiling into the shower, and rather grumpy, abrupt and rude man and woman who greeted us, stale and discoloured fruit... Beautiful way to experience Amsterdam. If you're not a bike rider, this hotel is only 4-5 buildings away from a tram stop and only three short blocks to Leidesplein, which puts you in touch with buses, we well. The room itself is beautiful and very spacious - like having a flat in Amsterdam. Large windows overlooking the canal really makes... More

My daughter and I staying at this wonderful hotel in September of 2014. Situated on the most beautiful canal in Amsterdam, the hotel is a long ago merchant's home. Our room was on the 2nd floor (Dickens), and it was quiet and very comfortable. We were glad to be on the second floor as the stairs are steep. We arrived... More

Unexpectedly good located small hotel with just 9 rooms and nice atmosphere. Classical Holland house with beams, curved stairs, high cell and great freshly backed croissants in the morning. You would never feel industrial-like approach and always can rely on hotel staff. People there are friendly, responsive and invisible. This is obviously rare and pleasant experience.
